  1. Bizarrely Dundee is one of them.

    Indeed it is.

Dundee United very nearly got to the final in 1984. They won the first leg of their semi final against Roma 2-0, but very controversially lost the second leg 3-0 amid bribery allegations (link here http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/jim-mclean-admits-feels-sick-1097937 ). Roma progressed to the final and lost to Liverpool on penalties (the 'Grobbelaar's wobbly knee impression' final).

  2. London, Glasgow, Madrid, Milan.

    Belgrade?

    Lisbon?

    Shot in the dark, Moscow?

Correct answers so far: London (Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea), Madrid, Milan, Glasgow and Belgrade.

Moscow isn't one of the nine, nor is Lisbon.

    Four to go.

  3. Only player ever to play for England whilst having the same surname as the club he was playing for at the time?

Frederick Blackburn (prize for obscure question of the thread goes to Richwwtk!).

Gary Stevens is one of them.

    Yes, three more to go.

  4. Since 1970 there have been four instances of two players sharing the same first name and surname who have been capped by England. A rugby equivalent would be Richard Hill (i.e. there have been two different Richard Hills capped by the England rugby team). What are the four names?

Who played in an FA Cup Final in three different decades for the same team?

Who played in an FA Cup Final in three different decades for three different teams?

(For questions 2 and 3, the furthest you have to go back is the 70s).
