  1. Anyone having a bet should consider sticking a few quid on both teams to score in this match.
  2. All credit to SC. Got it wrong in the first half but the changes he made in the 2nd made a big difference. Marv was superb but dont underestimate the impact Barnett & Burns made. It gave their defence more to think about and allowed our midfield to get on top. Well done Cotts.
  3. Thats why you, me and 9000 other City fans aint the manager. His movement, pace and positioning today went a long way to him having all those chances in the first half. If he could get in the same positions in the second half then he was going to hit the back of the net at some time. As\you say, well done SC for sticking with him.
  4. Completely agree, which is why I thought Flint would miss out today and Abd play central in a 3 with Osbourne right, and Willams left.
  5. I know Baldy missed several easy chances in the first half but, after scoring his first goal with a magnificent finish, did he really deserve to be booed by a number of fans in the Ateyo ? How the hell is that going to achieve anything ? Would anyone who booed like to step forward and have the balls to explain their actions please ?
  6. Think you might be forgetting a certain Shaun Taylor.
  7. Ha, ha. Slip of the finger. Who needs keepers eh !
  8. I see it as a great signing and no doubt many other teams would have been chasing him. Going forward and by that I mean after certain players have moved on/retired, we now have 4 quality CB's which will provide SC with the comfort of knowing that even with someone injured/suspended he can continue with his favoured 3-5-3 formation. I have no doubt that Abd has been brought here with a view to making him captain and to add another piece of the jigsaw in building a squad to push for promotion next season. I firmly believe by the end of this season he will be a real fans favourite and will viewed as a very astute signing.
  9. We have. Just 12 goals conceded in last 13 with 3 clean sheets. Things are looking up.
  10. Lets face it 90% of us would have settled for a point at the beginning of the game. A loss would have been a disaster. Need to take at least 4 points from our next two though.
  11. Paid off a small bit of our outstanding debt as will the 500k plus we get for JET in January.
  12. Yep, exactly that. That's where the club are at this present time and for at least 2/3 seasons to come. We can no longer expect to hang onto our 'best' players. We are effectively a 'selling club'. We are in Div 3 afterall and trying to balance the books.
  13. He is far too good to be hanging around in D3 and we cant possibly expect him to turn down the chance to play in the Championship again or even back in the Prem. If he is to go in January, by thenhis performances/goals will hopefully have gone a long way to securing our safety and even giving us the momentum for a top 10 push. Good luck to the lad.
  14. Think he left football for a life as a financial adviser.
  15. I like it. And the 2 teams we beat at home both had cracking wins today so we cant be a bad side eh ?
  16. Best post of the day..............9 points from 15th with 48 points to play for. All to play for. Exciting times. I'm up for it, are you in ?
  17. Just need to win our remaining home games and we stay up. Simples. Doesn't matter what we do away.
  18. Then you must really fancy our chances because we have been given 2 extra games to play !
