Why do people play dumb when it comes to England and why this can be seen as disrespectful to the country the kit is suppose to represent?
If this were another country, I can't help but think those not understanding the issue would suddenly understand the concept of a national flag being a symbol of a nation, one that has specific colours that are key identifiers of that nation's flag.
This is also coming at a time where there is clearly an orchestrated push to erode English identity and pride, and from a company that is very deep into the identity politics culture war does make this seem more than a playful redesign.
Symbolism and its importance is a well known concept to the left, the pride flag, Palestinian flag, raised fist of power etc. so how come when it's with England they act dumb?

Bit of a downgrade, but best of luck to them, would love to be wrong on this one!

Fans will go for the Lansdowns this time around if/when it fails.
I wish, but judging the happy clapping on here last night and this morning, we will roll over and accept it once again, then force excitement for their next masterplan.

Saw this. Embarrassing, I reckon. Takes the Mickey out of our new manager’s status and then goes on to spell Peyton Manning’s name wrong. Shame, as they’ve done decent ones before.
That's brilliant, sums up the fans reaction nicely.

Exactly. And the cycle repeats. Nothing will ever change until the Lansdowns go.
Yep, complete deja vu. We'll be here again in a year or two.

NP was stuck in the old school approach (nothing wrong with that, if your thing) but we've actually gone and got ourselves a progressive coach
How is he progressive? Apart from being young. How will he utilise this squad better than Pearson did? How is he an improvement to what we had before?

No offence to the bloke at all and I wish him the absolute best, but whatever happens this is still one of the most ridiculous, unnecessary and stupid decisions in the whole tenure of the Lansdown's.
Whichever way you look at it, to sack a manager who had been doing pretty well, a manager with a proven record of promotion from League One AND the Championship and with a history of building good teams, to then decide that what would be an upgrade is a manager who has done not much more than turn around MK Dons to an extent and have a good start to the season with Oxford.... it's a totally stupid and unnecessary risk and defies all logic whichever perspective you take.
A completely unnecessary and ridiculous appointment, but that isn't Manning's fault. He has a good win % and there are reasons for optimism, and he'll get my full backing. But he is anything but an upgrade on Pearson, and we shouldn't be anywhere near this place of having to consider him in the first place.
This is how I feel, he might be ok, (in league 1, for a quarter of a season so far) but he is by all measures a downgrade on what we had just over a week ago.
This is the biggest gamble they have taken and shows that they would rather have a unknown who will not question their authority than a proven quantity that didn't completely toe the line.

not even in the door and you're not giving him any time jfc
You can blame that on Jon and Brian, telling us our squad is top 6 worthy. By their estimations he should hit the ground running. No excuses.

The only way the Lansdowns can get the fans back on side is to throw money into the transfer kitty and get in some marque signings in Jan
But that would prove that they (JL, BT) are massively mistaken about the current ability of our squad or that they simply lied to us. Both are extremely worrying.
Not to mention indicating that they purposely sabotaged Pearson by not allowing him those same funds in the summer.

It's a crap appointment. All week OTIB has gone in to meltdown about NP and rightly so. Then just a few days later City fans are lapping it up that we've landed Manning as the replacement for NP. It's embarrassing.
Absolutely, I said people would roll over and accept the Lansdowns' meddling once again, like with Millen, LJ and Holden to name a few. At some point we as fans have to take a stand against those running the club.

The parameters have been set. Lansdown Jnr clearly said that this squad is the best since he’s been here and that the change has been made as he believes the squad is good enough to compete this season. It’s there on the record as to why Pearson has gone. So that’s how he has to be judged.
Exactly, can't quite believe people are already trying to make excuses for Manning. JL made perfectly clear they expect top six with this squad. So why wouldn't he expect that with Manning? Unless of course he has lied to us again.

Absolutely nothing exciting about a league one yes man. This really feels like LJ 2.0
I hope we don't roll over and take this like all the other, cheap, yes men appointments after being lied to by the Lansdowns at the beginning of the process. But who am I kidding of course we will.

New England Kit

That's the away kit, this whole discussion is about the home kit where the "flag" is visible on the back of the collar when worn.
