  1. HAHAHAHAHAHA Someone has actually wished them all the best and received a round of applause, And we've now instantly moved back onto singing sections. This is beyond parody.
  2. I reckon someone should ask another question about singing sections.
  3. 'Do you prioritise cups or the league', what the **** am I watching.
  4. As ever, when it gets down to it, all the vast majority of fans ever seem to care about is how many players can be signed in the next transfer window.
  5. Of course it would be absurd to ‘judge’ Manning after two games (although a performance as crap as QPR will no doubt see some irrational ‘judgements’ this evening), however, and this is no fault of the man himself, no City manager I can ever remember deserves less time or patience before being ‘judged’. I expect to see the results of his ‘on the grass’ coaching quickly on the style of play and I have been told by our Chairman that we were underperforming under Nigel Pearson, so the expectation is that we challenge for the playoffs under this manager. Usually managers take over this club because the results are dreadful, relegation is a concern, the team barely have a shot let alone a win, the squad is unmotivated, the crowd has turned, there has been a breakdown between manager and players, the manager has simply lost the plot.. Not all of these may apply, but some of them will do and we all know the atmosphere around the club when a manager leaves. None of this was the case with Nigel Pearson. None of those sorts of messes need cleaning up. Because Nige (in time) cleaned them all up from what he was left with. It is as good a situation to take over this club that I can ever remember. The squad is small without any deadwood expensive, useless players needing to be removed, the players are fit, spirited and motivated, and the team is in touching reach of the playoffs. Therefore there are none of the excuses that usually apply to new managers, none of the time required to sort out the mess of the previous bloke. So therefore there is far less patience or time. If sacking Nigel Pearson and appointing Liam Manning was the correct thing to do, the evidence should be with us quickly, not necessarily today or this week, but much sooner than usual for any judgement on a new manager.
  6. Yep, utterly ridiculous. A sport trying its absolute best to eat itself. The picture of Travis Head going around it’s a shame he didn’t play though, that would have been entertaining.
  7. Davies signed for us a year before Fielding did.
  8. Pissed up, hungover or stone sold sober, David Noble was still absolute class.
  9. Yeah but apart from it being 17 goals in 1 season rather than 11 goals in 2 seasons you have to say it’s wonderfully accurate analysis that we’ve all come to know and love.
  10. Total farce, not often you’ll see me agreeing with Max Verstappen but he’s absolutely spot on about this freak show.
  11. He has to play for me, it may be overly simplistic, but I just think we are always a better team with in it. Personally I’d have him at centre half, which would mean a harsh decision to drop either of Vyner or Dickie. If his way into the team is in midfield I’m not bothered though, he just has to be in the team as far as I’m concerned. Really don’t wish to criticise as he’s only been here five minutes, but I really did find it mad that Naismith didn’t get on at QPR. A game so lacking in any sort of quality was crying out for his ability, confidence and ambition on the ball.
  12. Naismith has to play for me, we’re a much better team with him in it. It’s incredible harsh on whichever of Vyner or Dickie has to make way, but for me it should be Naismith next to either of them. Obviously he doesn’t deserve any criticism as he’s only been here five minutes, but Naismith not getting on on Saturday in a game as poor as that made absolutely no sense. You could have brought him on in about five different positions and his ability and ambition on the ball would have improved the dross on show.
  13. Absolute garbage as ever. There is absolutely no lack of effort, spirit or motivation in this squad. They give absolutely everything they can and that in part shows in our very good goals against record. There is however a lack of creativity, flair and imagination in the final third. None of this will be solved by anyone ‘working harder’.
  14. Life must be a joy being that much of a sad ***.
  15. Not that it is in any way relevant to the position the current manager has taken over, but Gary Johnson won 3 of his first 4 games.. then did lose nine on the spin.
  16. Your trainers are horrible as well.
  17. All the ‘behaviours’ from this squad were absolutely spot on under the previous manager.
  18. Just between you and me, have you actually scrolled back to February 2021? Bet you’re fun at parties. By the way, if you want to scroll back to everybody else’s views from February 2021, I reckon ‘mediocre’ and ‘boring’ will be two of the kindest things said about that team. Yes I still think today was the worst performance since Reading away last season, that is a downgrade on the eighteen months I was initially claiming. I did go to Tintern Abbey on school trip, crap if I’m honest. Probably better than todays performance though. I don’t have any struggles with Ashton Gate though thanks, maybe how flat the Amstel is.
  19. They were rubbish, today was a lot worse no? 0-4 Cornick hat trick, Bell got the fourth.
  20. Yeah fair play, that was genuinely atrocious, as was Birmingham about a month before? Worst we’ve played since then though.
  21. But out of possession we’re really good? So it’s in possession that all the work needs to be done?
