  1. Yes it was a dump, but I have mainly good memories of it compared to the crap that was going to Bath to watch the derby games ,when Nigel Martin usually ensured we had nothing to celebrate.

At Eastville I can so easily remember that 1-4 victory ,the infamous 1-0 down 2-1 up cup game(possibly my favourite ever),and the many and varied shenanigans associated with derby day and the precarious walk back to near Stapleton road station where my dad usually parked the car.
I liked going to Eastville and although we haven’t played them much since they left ,the mem i associate with watching Bristol(rugby),is nowhere near the same.

Glad I saw those times ,happy days.

A ‘tongue in cheek’ remark Jeez.

The most unprofessional thing I ever saw GJ do was when he tried to trip up Chopra after he’d scored at AG and ran past the dug outs in celebration - the attempted trip was caught on cameras. Lucky for Chopra GJ had short legs,

Lucky for GJ and the club as well. Had he succeeded the shit would have really hit the fan and GJ would have been sacked before long before he started brawling with his own players down at Argyle in the locker room.

Your memory is poor ,as he didn’t attempt to trip him ,he did actually trip him !

Paul Hartley wasn’t very impressed as I remember.

  3. Saw wales v west Germany in Cardiff in 1976,the kaiser scored in a 2-0 victory.

Just looked at the team sheet on internet,a good few of that great west German side we’re playing that night, surprised they didn’t win by more.

  4. Cornick reminds me a lot of David Clarkson ,not fast ,not very good in the air and not particularly skilful. But every so often he does something good.

David Clarkson was a disappointment overall unfortunately .I think I’ve seen enough now to suggest Cornick is likely to follow a similar trajectory .
Be nice to be proved wrong, but not expecting it.

The more worrying thing ,is with limited funds we really need our recruitment to be spot on,the scatter gun days are behind us.

  5. I have no idea how we’re going to do today.

We seem a bit of a toothless mess at the moment and the Swansea win odds of 11/10 look like an easy way to more than double your money………..however away from home we can chuck in a Millwall like performance and look decent.

Overall a lack of a cutting edge makes a draw probably our best outcome, although those Swansea odds look very tempting to ease the pain of another defeat should it happen!
