  1. Yeah, but not firmly. That's the change. ?
  2. No need to feel embarrassed - it was stupid but everyone makes mistakes. Just put it behind you,
  3. And that, my friends, is why I think we've never been as successful as we should be. We're supporters, we should encourage but all too often we destroy players confidence. I know of one young player who had a bit of a stinker last season in one game out of position - he's not been the same since as he hears the groans and moans from the stands in his sleep. You must be so pleased.
  4. Oh and thank you to you all for your kind words. We've fostered for about 20 years now. We have had some great kids, and some not so great, but they all leave, if not supporting City, at least having City close to their hearts!
  5. Social Services is broken. They do their best but they don't have the resources. We shouldn't have 8, but there is nowhere else. But that debate belongs in politics I guess.
  6. I would, it's just that I currently have 8 foster children (on emergency) and to leave my wife with them all seems a bit much!! (And no, they all wouldn't fit in the car).
  7. So, no Robins TV tonight because Sky have exclusive rights. But Sky aren't showing it - they're not showing any of the cup games. I don't see why it couldn't be shown. Not happy.
  8. The luck is being saved for 2030 when we get awarded a dodgy penalty in the 90th minute of the Champions League Final to win 1-0.
  9. No mention of measuring the grass length. No idea how he expects to succeed not doing so. #pearsonout
  10. At least he'll get off to a good start then.
  11. Which is what West Brom did with the first few corners until they decided it wasn't working.
  12. Wonder why that might be? Interestingly, Max's stats last night were 4 punches and 2 high balls taken. I tried looking to see when our goalkeeper last had that sort of stat - gave up in March 2021. It was noticeable that on their first few corners they were all crowded round Max who dealt with them comfortably. After that they started to cross further out towards the penalty spot which our defenders were able to deal with.
  13. Live scenes from Whorefield: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMFMWHMMx/
  14. I've been saying that since 1971!
  15. We had one Friday - I could write a book about this one but... Free kick on the half way line, defending team player stood on the ball - ref tells him to move away, Free kick gets taken and, of course, it hits the defender as he's only 1 foot away and it falls to one of his team mates who's able to mount an attack with most of the, now defending team's players having moved forward for the free kick. Ref waves play on, on the basis that he had told the player to move away but the kick was taken anyway and the attacking player knew what would happen so that was his own fault.
  16. Sorry, can't agree with either of your statements. On the first there wasn't enough power to take out wide - he did all he could do with that. On the second, he was set to catch it until Kalas intervened.
  17. Sorry Dave, I respect a lot of what you have to say but I think you're wrong on this one. The ball came into the penalty area, it was straight and there were no Millwall players anywhere near able to challenge for the ball. Max clearly called (you can see other players reacting to that call), Kalas doesn't and heads it away just before it falls into his hands. And, he heads it to a Millwall player with bags of space just inside the area (so he didn't even clear the lines anyway) - perfectly placed to bend the ball into the top corner even if Max was on his line
  18. The comments on that page!
  19. Has he been briefed about not allowing us a penalty?
  20. At least they didn't have Mark Lawrenson.
  21. Cut to Chris Kamara - Jeff says "I hear Carlisle have scored in the last minute, Chris" Chris: "Have they Jeff? I didn't notice" ?
  22. Two things. The second being having Maguire at the back is a liability.
  23. I would imagine non-league clubs would jump at the chance. Especially at the lower reaches of the pyramid, say Step 5 and 6 (Tiers 9 and 10). Many of them struggle now and the increased costs of floodlights would send many under. Plus, 12 noon KO, they could play and make their local league sides KO at 3 -thus increasing attendances. Job done! Also, regular attendees at league games could take in a non-league game at 12 and also make the league game. Win-win
