  1. I think the reason was that we wanted at least £10 million up front and they weren't willing to do that
  2. Few posts on Twitter that say Wolves aren't in the race to sign him anymore
  3. It's gutting isn't it and to see the financial gap between us and those that have made it to the prem just growing and growing. Here's hoping that our academy and a smarter transfer policy can help us finally get to the promised land in spite of the widening financial gap
  4. You could maybe see Scott holding out to see if anyone else will match Bournemouth's bid, if they get to a value the club will accept, but then i guess it will depend on how long Bournemouth's offer is on the table for.
  5. Wouldn't be so bad if the online shop was any good. Sadly it isn't. For example you have to spend more than a kids full kit to even get free postage. No easy returns either unless you take it back to the shop itself
  6. Think it will be interesting to see which premier league teams are willing to spend £20+ million on a player that might not be quite ready to hit the ground running in the prem. You could say they could loan him out but it's a big wedge for a lot of the prem teams to be able to do that. They will be after players that can hit the ground running. The better bet if i was Alex would be to follow the Bellingham route and go to Dortmund if they were to show interest.
  7. Yeah, they aren't like for like. I was more interested in the fact that quite a few responses wanted Scott over an established Premier League and England international
  8. Just seen one post from some Spurs news type Twitter accounts asking if fans would prefer to sign Maddison for 50 million or Scott for £20 million. A lot of replies going for Scott Twitter link
  9. Agree it was an amazing tournament in that England got to the semis but apart from the actual semi final itself we were pretty poor and very lucky to not go out sooner. My fave WC was Mexico 86. The baking heat, those ridiculously big box nets and some brilliant high scoring games. Maradona in his pomp as well (forgetting the HOG). Brazil in Spain 82 though were out of this world. Some of the best goals I've ever seen. I'm fact the Socrates dummy for Eder to flick and then volley into net probably is my fave ever goal.
  10. Newcastle throwing away lots of money on Antony Gordon might put them off spending lots on very young players. Then again they are run by the Saudis so might give us £50 million ?
  11. Are you who people call if they are at the other end of the happiness scale? The Anti-Samaritans!
  12. And not forgetting the singing and dancing!
  13. BT used to show it for free on its website or youtube. Don't know if they are this year
  14. Just you wait till this time next season we’ll be crossing ourselves off that graphic Believe!!! ?
  15. Football has changed a bit since then.
  16. You are probably right. Don't know if I'm bitter but I'm not full of joy that a smaller club than ours has worked it's way up from non league and made it to the prem past us who for the same period of time has pretty much pissed money up the wall and got ourselves into a financial mess. I don't think I'd be particularly pleased for any team winning the play offs, but I do class myself as a miserable git
  17. Be interesting to see if the fact Moyes was Everton manager for so long has any sway on the team and way he plays against Leicester. Hoping so being an Everton fan. Though I do feel Everton will screw up and Leicester or Leeds will take advantage
