The efforts Liverpool put in over the last couple of years to try and beat Man City to the league title and especially last season in playing literally every match possible, including losing the CL final,it’s not really a surprise that they aren’t on it this season. For the style of football they play with a high line and aggressive press if you aren’t bang on it you’ll get picked off. They also need a player overhaul, especially in midfield.

I do agree with those saying that Foden should maybe have come on last night but it’s the typical stick to beat an England manager with. “Oh if he’d played such and such we’d be watching a completely different game as such and such is the best player ever” He should have come on instead of Sterling or Saka as he usually plays wide in a front 3.
