  1. Apparently the twunk behind me today thought their goal was a positive - "that's what the game needed"

Another positive, seeing as this was upper Lansdown - I managed to contain my instant urge to turn round and explain why a goal for the opposition is not good for the game from my perspective, most probably by launching him down the steps

  2. In the past, there has always been a mixed reaction to fixture changes (just wait for if we ever get promoted...) - for every person who has a regular commitment on a Sunday, there is usually somebody who has a commitment on a Saturday who can then make the match

Given how young a coach he is, Manning is probably an electric car.

In which case everyone is needlessly worrying about the unknown and he's actually brilliant and nothing to worry about.

Just to stretch the metaphor beyond breaking point.

Then we could do FAR worse than a Skoda Enyaq - I looked very closely at my choice for my first electric car and chose one of those 😃

Personally I despise points deductions. The only people they impact is the fans and certainly not a dodgy owner.

What I'd suggest is that owners should pay a bond. Let's say 5 million for example. If the owners breach the rules, they lose their bond. If at the end of their ownership they've not breached any rules, they get their bond back.

But whilst we have club owners making the decisions in football, we'll never see anything like that.

The problem with that would be setting the size of the bond. £5m is small change to some owners, including SL. It would in effect be a one-off fee to ignore the rules

Not really a digital ticketing issue, but on the subject of creating ‘relationships’. Do you know what determines a relationship becoming a ‘special relationship’.

I’ve got relationships set up with about half a dozen people. One of them always appears as a “special relationship”. Mrs ID is a bit concerned ?

From memory,  a special relationship in this context means you have the authority to purchase on their behalf. Certainly when I came to ST renewal time, it was the one without that tag which wasn't shown until quick call to supporter services added the tag for me

Checks diary.......not 3 days before the game

You're right... but also not 3 days before the 16th of September! I'm not personally bother, I only looked because of this thread - but as it was different to what others have reported I thought it might be useful to share in case it shed light on the current mechanics of the updates

My personal understanding is we have recieved 20 up front with 5 million spread out over x amount of time plus add ons.

If that is true (I have no idea), that means 25m in this years accounts (doesn't matter when it would be paid for P&L/FFP, only for cashflow - it is guaranteed so has to be included in the accounts as a profit upon disposal - we would have 20m cash and a 5m debt owed to us by Bournmouth, so all 25m has been gained as an "asset") - then any addons are included in the year which they are triggered, as if they are not triggered they are not owed to us

I'd love to see something like below. A lot more useful than footage of the game that literally nobody is watching.

There are occasions that I need to watch the screen or I can't see any of the action - usually from 35 minutes to half time as there is a steady stream of people wandering down to the concourse, for example

Sorry if this has been mentioned on here before, but has anyone had this error message when trying to download?

Yes, got that today as well. 4 STs downloaded fine, one like this and one missing email, so I've emailed supporter services

He did indeed say that, but don’t forget it’s possible to have a bit of bravado when you’re on the radio.  So you’re only guessing what the internal value is, like us all.  He might’ve meant exactly that, but we don’t know whether that’s the current acceptable value…it might even be higher, who knows?  If it is £25m, someone might offer £24m with better payment terms, that might mean a compromise he’s willing to accept.

(edit: press / media are also reporting £25m, we don’t know if that’s because of said radio interview or because that is in fact the required amount)

The payment terms don't affect FFP, only cashflow, which thanks to SL isn'tan issue. £24m with better add-ons however might be considered...?

A few years ago I was leaving Mangotsfield United's ground and put Radio Bristol on. Geoff Twentyman was talking to a young Rovers fan called iirc Ollie. He seemed to be on rather a lot at the time offering his observations on the Gas. They had beaten Swindon one-nil in an early kick off and Ollie was waxing lyrical about the match and how well Rovers had played.

'And what did you think of the goal?' Twentyman asked, realising there was no explanation of this event.

'Oh, I didn't see that, Geoff,' he replied. 'I was queuing to get a pie.'

I couldn't believe it. I was literally shouting at the radio as I was driving and shaking my head and saying that one can go to Gregg's any day of the week and get a bloody pie!

Tell that to all the people who disappear at 40 minutes or so to get their half time pie/pint...

But the point is they are only paying £55 and get a free shirt. The seat could be sold many times over at Adult price.

I suppose the question would be if the prospective user(s) of that seat would look at the other prices elsewhere in the ground and say "nope" or shrug, maybe curse a little but still buy one - after all Man C excepted we haven't sold out have we?
