  1. A magnificent cricketer and a match winner Sadly denied a test career, so who knows where he'd rank among all time greats, but he'd be up there.
  2. We might possibly have a top 6 squad, but we don't seem to have a top 6 mentality.
  3. As he's signed for us he's more likely to have Daniels' "stature" and Bolt's ability to pull a rabbits out of the hat!
  4. Nothing about how we've played has been a surprise either!
  5. Given the 70s reminiscences on here it's probably Watneys Ref Barrel? If so I doubt you'd want a pint of it!
  6. The more so as QPR now have no real incentive to go forward. Reminds of Brum at home when we started to hit long balls in desperation and got caught on the break again.
  7. Teams will know that we struggle against teams that sit back, so do to us what we like to do
  8. Wednesday 2 up so that game looking more difficult than it did Tuesday night!
  9. Anyone else worried by the levels of positivity on here today? This is Bristol City remember!
  10. 6 from 6 against 'Boro and Saints was the bonus. Maximising points from games against the likes of QPR and Wednesday is where we've blown it too often in the past and make the difference between mid-table and genuinely challenging for a top 6 spot.
  11. IIRC After the Swansea game, didn't someone post that photo with Coldplay's "Fix You" as backing music?
  12. Jukebox Jury? Blimey, that's one heck of a first job after leaving school, although £3 3s & 6d seems a miserly salary!
  13. They all ordered Macdonalds to be delivered for lunch?
  14. Probably 6 weeks too late to make a run that would get us into the play offs. Not impossible - you only have to look back to the 11 (?) game winning run under DW - but we'd need to discover firepower up front that has sadly been missing for too much of the season. Would be good to make a go of it, even if we fall short, so the season doesn't fizzle out and gives us momentum and optimism to take into next season. Of course, that is before that optimism is dashed in the summer when we sell Conway, Pring and Vyner to Bournemouth!
  15. QPR win nailed on then.
  16. Experienced City fans have become able to hold both pessimistic and optimistic outlooks at one and the same time and to be proved correct!
  17. Similar to Scott's pass to Wells to set up the goal at Preston last season.
  18. That was because he's a short arse and with the curvature of the earth, he struggled to see the Dolman side of the pitch from the dugout!
