Hope u brought him down to earth............by explaining that he will be middle aged before he witness's another 4 goals away from home? Ha!!

I loved NP, he is, and will remain a legend at our club. But the time was ripe to bring in a new young forward thinking coach IMHO......and it would appear that cometh the hour..........cometh the man? I am very impressed with LM, and i believe that if we support him, and let him build our club................that the sky is the limit? I am not being, or attempting to be smug? But come on down you doubters, and admit that at last.........the Lansdowns have made the correct appointment.................at frigging last!!!!! -

Getting back to back wins for the first time in 10 months is an achievement that should be acknowledged, and this against two top 6 opponents? This was performed without any new players, and 5 still out injured? I was a major supporter of Pearson, but for me the King is dead.........long live the King. Liam Manning is now hopefully the future of our club, and I will support him, and keep looking forward....and not back. The Lansdowns have made numerous mistakes in the past.........but for me, their latest appointment is at last, and not before time?...... the correct one. -

Who said........::we have never had it better?" certainly not me? But i am a realist, who understands that even a businessman who enjoys massive success in his chosen field of finance, does not have the divine right to be successful in an area that he has no experience, background or insight in? SL was a fan who wanted his chosen team to be a mirror of his successful business. But his ego has prevented him from taking advice and council from football experts, who could have provided him with direction and guidance over the 20 years that he has failed to realise his dream? He has failed to bring success to Bristol City because he has not had the unpretentious and humble attitude to take on board expert advice by football people who could have offered him the instruction he so desperately was in need of? But he has kept trying, and i believe he might at last have found the right appointment? Criticising and demeaning the Lansdowns is everyones right, but as they are not going anywhere soon, it is pointless. I am happy to stick with them in the hope that if you keep throwing enough mud at a wall....eventually some will stick? Personally I see a bright future, maybe i am a misguided fool........but as i have been supporting them for over 40 years i feel i have the right to be one? -

Just to point out that they won the Premiership a few years ago........Were in the Prem last season, and will be in the Prem next season..........is that really the best example you can dig up ? Ha!! -

I agree...but despite views to the contrary, he is human. I am really not certain that given the means, and 20 years.......i could have done a better job? Maybe i could,, but i am not egotistical enough to believe that I would not have made plenty of Mistakes and Mis-steps along the way? it is so easy to criticise from the sidelines? We COULD be in a much worse place, than we are currently? -

Of course he hasn't given it away? Why shouldn't he want it back..............I would? I am certain with his business acumen, he could have invested in other projects, for a much larger return, and a lot less hassle? -

Despite all the negative views, it is often the devil you know that is the best option? For all their perceived faults, they have been extremely generous, and have protected the club financially, and built a superb range of facilities....just look at the difference in AG compared to 10 years ago? Who knows what new owners might do or in which direction they may teke us? For all their faults in appointing managers and lack of fan communication, I want the Lansdowns, through Steve, and then through John to remain in charge....they are Bristolians, and i believe their hearts are in the right place. It maybe a cliche.......but in my life i have found that the grass is not always greener on the other side? Who say's it WILL be an exciting new era...........you? -
