  1. What is Williams thinking there? Was going to be a booking all day long.
  2. Agreed. He’s only ever liked his yes men nepotism based appointments. Of course you can argue he doesn’t have to like NP, or anyone else of similar robust character, they just have to be successful. But history would suggest he will make yet another decision at the wrong time and appoint someone he’s comfortable with; and we’ll go on the ride for a fourth time. Like I am sure many of you I really appreciate what he’s done in the round, but it does feel time for a change now. Obviously easier said than done in terms of selling the club and finding associated investment of course.
  3. I think both you and @Harry are right weirdly! If it wasn’t for the Chairman memorial aspect I think this would definitely be high risk, but with some mutual respect this may calm it all down. That said, it won’t take much encouragement from either side for things to kick off. Millwall view on it seems just as mixed actually from reading their forum. On the pitch I think it will be fairly even, would take a draw now TBH.
  4. Completely agree, he’s a different level to anything we’ve ever seen before.
  5. Possibly yes. You never know, if to a man we stand and clap could be a Millwall love in! ? In my 32 years watching City I’ve never known us share a stand with Millwall though so will be amazed if the game passes off without incident.
  6. You think? Will only take a few to disrupt their acknowledgements (silence or clapping, not sure?) for it to go right off.
  7. Well that won’t cause any problems at all then! ???
  8. Have I heard correctly we are in the same stand as them on this occasion?
  9. Nice sign off from the lad. Guaranteed of a good reception should we meet again.
  10. An undisclosed record fee? So perhaps not £25m after all then? I had hoped when the inevitable happened it would be to a big club, not a smaller one in a higher division; but they are and they have the money. I guess there is the potential of a further move if he impresses this season and you would think we have a sell on.
  11. If true that won’t make him our record sale then? Wasn’t that £21m?
  12. What’s impressed me with Wells over the last 18 months or so is not just his performances but what he brings out of Conway and Bell.
  13. I agree, it was good when it first came out but social media has left them behind. @Shtanley’s OSIB magazine has shown the way for printed football articles IMHO.
  14. Agreed, say he sells for £25m I would expect 10-25% to be made available.
  15. I agree, I am still not convinced this all ends with Wolves matching our valuation and that someone else won’t come in last minute.
  16. Not that we know of but would never surprise me if they or a club like that come in last minute and trump everyone.
  17. Agreed Fevs, although I think this is still far from over and other clubs will come in.
  18. I think Wolves and Bournemouth will battle it out for a couple of weeks then a bigger club will come in late on with a deal that matches or exceeds our expectations. Feels far from over just yet!
  19. Just another dynamic I’ve not seen referenced much on this thread: Surely Alex has an agent, and if so, surely they are marketing him to potential clubs to maximise his fee and package?
