This is just the start and Bournemouth have shown their hand early. Wouldn’t surprise me if others now join in and then a big club comes in last minute. We’ve all been there on eBay surely?! ?
I said the same a few pages back mate! ?
Oh, what a Knight
Signed for us in twenty twenty three
What a very special time for me
In our midfield, oh what a Knight
Sounds great, and yes be good to hold some back and do similar next close season, it’s been good to listen to (even when I don’t agree it’s entertaining!) the last few weeks.
I may have missed it in this thread, but I’ve only got the first game (Preston) downloaded to my wallet; is that the same for all? Is the expectation we have to download a ticket for each game? I’m don’t recall reading that in the email etc. thanks!
Are there going to be any more? Could keep this going with top 5 managers, seasons, goals, games, grounds, kits….. Great way to pass the time of close season.
David Seal ahead of Tammy Abraham had me laughing for a few minutes, comedy gold!
Really enjoyed these though, despite shouting at my iPhone about some of the choices!
Don’t remember a player ever doing anything like that before, really nice touch. It’s all a bit disappointing really, for a time I thought he would be something special for us; but this is a classy exit.
I’m enjoying these also but you are right, some of the selections seem bonkers (e.g. Paul Hartley rated above Korey Smith for midfielders), but it’s all personal preference I guess.
Probably in the minority here but I’m really not bothered with him not signing for us and signing for Millwall. Good player no doubt and I loved his goals against the Gas and Man Utd, but some things are best left in the past. It clearly wasn’t a good match for us and him or the timing was wrong, so we move on.
What on Earth has gone on there?! Arguably the greatest comeback in their history then goes on to win promotion at Wembley!? If he’s been sacked that just sounds nuts. TBF Wednesday fans sound equally as perplexed by it all.
Agreed, it’s who blinks first now. A bidding war is great from our perspective and we just get as much as we can for him.
We’ve been clear it’s £25m, but is that like a starting bid on eBay? How high do you think it could go? £30m? £40m? Or perhaps all the same level but different terms for Alex or sell on clauses for us?
You have a point there Fevs, whilst people spot it a mile off these days it still prevails in the corporate world. It’s like a game where people try and introduce analogous words or phrases to situations to make themselves think they sound informed; when in reality most people want straight talking.
