  1. I made approx three trips to the Blackpool area to support the removal of the previous owners, not sure what to think of the latest news Owner Simon Sadler has defended his financial commitment to Blackpool, amid criticism from sections of the support. Sadler took control of the Seasiders in June 2019, purchasing a 96.2% share from receivers after former owner Owen Oyston's reign ended in the High Court. Sadler said he had already invested £18m of his own money since the purchase, and expected to be funding another £5m this season. "Then, as now, my motives were not financial," he said of his investment. "It's this level of commitment that keeps Blackpool Football Club operational. "It's this investment that has given us a likely top-six playing budget, and enables us to pay, for Kyle Joseph, the highest known transfer fee this year in League One." Sadler, who was born and raised in Blackpool, has worked in asset management in Hong Kong since 2007. Sales of players such as Jerry Yates and Josh Bowler, as well as the initial compensation package agreed for boss Neil Critchley when he previously left for Aston Villa, brought in finance to the club. Some supporters have questioned the whereabouts of those funds, which has prompted Sadler to reference some of the spending of his predecessors - during court hearings it emerged Oyston owned, among other things, the skeleton of a woolly mammoth"It's [the money] certainly not been spent on wedding venues or woolly mammoths," the statement continued. "These incoming transfer fee payments are staggered over time but the monies so far received have contributed to the spend on the playing squad. "Player trading and reinvesting a majority of the income from player sales back into the playing squad is a vital part of our strategy and combined with my personal investment helps us to pay meaningful transfer fees, source high-quality loan players and most importantly support a significantly higher wage bill than when we were last in this division."

  5. When I first saw it I thought Wells had brushed the back of the defender with the front of Naki Wells chest. I think Wells was more interested in looking where the cross was coming into. The defender kept looking behind him to initiated the foul by running across Wells When the defender went down he was the only Swansea player than appealed while he was on the deck
  6. Not for me,but did you manage to find a buyer for the tickets?

  11. When we arrive in the premier league Gary Neville slammed by Gabby Agbonlahor after commentating on Salford City on Sky Sports Salford co-owner Gary Neville was selected by Sky Sports as a co-commentator for the Ammies Carabao Cup tie against Leeds as Mark Wood's side progressed to the third round Gabriel Agbonlahor has questioned Sky Sports' decision to select Gary Neville on co-commentary duty for Salford's Carabao Cup tie against Leeds. But, despite his affiliation with the Ammies, Neville appeared on co-commentary for Salford's Carabao Cup second-round tie against United's arch rivals Leeds, alongside Michael Bridges. "It didn't make sense for Gary Neville to be commentating on a club that he co-owns, it was a very strange decision, it didn't sound great to be honest and that upset a lot of people." Fans were also left baffled on social media. One said: "Bit mad having Gary Neville doing the commentary for a team that he part owns ." Another added: "Just as a general principle, it is not right that Gary Neville, as a club club owner, should commentate on that game. He did OK but that's not the point. There is a clear conflict of interest. The optics are awful." As for the game itself, Matt Smith headed Salford into a first-half lead at the Peninsula Stadium, and Neville could not contain his excitement as he could be heard cheering into the microphone. However, Salford did not hold on with Pascal Struijk equalising for the Ammies in the 76th minute.Neither side could be separated after 90 minutes, leaving penalties to decide who would progress through to round three. Salford ended up coming out on top in the shootout, with Ossama Ashley scoring the decisive spot-kick as the Ammies ran out 9-8 victors following a 1-1 draw in normal time.
  12. Fare for the trip is £42:50p Please get your tickets issued from parson street as its the same price not seen any special discount fares as of yet although if you were to use the split option it would be a total amount of £27:90p and group save would be an option if you only use GWR trains and NOT use Transport for wales trains
  13. Not sure of the train set's previous working(from London OR from the depot at Stoke gifford?) If you live in the North Bristol(Bristol Parkway/Filton Abbey wood) area suggest you get into BTM via public transport Just in case the train might pull into Bristol Parkway on the return or on the way there Please get your train tickets issued from Parson Street in advance as its the same price as from BTM. as it also give an indication of how many followers will use the service and what train set/s is to be used,i.e. a five car set /a nine coach set/or a two five coach set Could any one using the football special, take some photos and say how many City followers are on board

  16. Womans world cup 2025 coming to Ashton Gate from 22nd August. Now is the time to strike and get the new station built at Ashton Gate,if not then a step free access for Parson Street.
  17. My thoughts are no one in the media likes us,and I DO care. Not many games on Sky always last to be shown on the ITV highlights show (which I am gonna mention at next years ITV AGM in May 2024 and the team that gets least amount of penalities Don't care about not having games on telly or last on the highlights programme,I can cope with that. Its penalties being awarded against us for no reason, and no penaltys being give to us for cast iron fouls, that I am not happy about
  18. I can recall the comments when I use to attend Sky's Annual general meetings asking for more City games live on telly. Now I don't attend, look what has happened Well I will be at Rotherham, who else is heading to the New York stadium. With the game being a mid week date, Sky have given us nothing, as all mid week games are on the red button.
  19. drivers friday 1st september 2023 and overtime ban on saturday 2nd september the day we play Swansea sort your selves out with cars/coach travel as soon as possible
