  1. Just had a look as didn’t check QPR game when looking at averages and it was 35 on Saturday so yes, last two games big change. 80 crosses in two games. I just wish we were brave enough to sometimes ignore the space afforded to us and go through the middle
  2. What are peoples views on this? Most games we produce about 15 crosses, sometimes as high as 20. Tonight it was 45. Is that because Coventry packed the central areas and forced us wide or is it down to a lack of bravery and taking the easy option? Or was it a tactic from Nige? Hard to say really, maybe his post match interview or press conference will reveal more. The problem with crossing 45 times comes about when your players (a) can’t really cross a consistent ball and (b) your strikers aren’t attacking great areas. Disappointed at a missed opportunity for 3 points. For me, it was a lack of bravery in pass choice and also lack of movement, which often can go hand in hand. We either dominate possession and then chances to break are rare, with our slow build up allowing teams to set their defence with ease or we get dominating and can then break but the opposition puts our defence under too much pressure. Very interested to see what Nige has to say
  3. Not brave enough in possession in terms of choice of pass and movement. Really disappointed considering the opposition. Too slow in the build up. Coventry could reset their defence every time with ease.
  4. We literally have no idea how to attack other than knock it wide and cross it in. Baffling
  5. Good to hear the Forest fans singing his name.
  6. Mental isn’t it. Everyone would have loved Wilder here before Pearson was appointed. Now it hasn’t worked out at one club there are people saying he’s shit now! The British fans views on managers is bizarre.
  7. Just goes to show that, like Hughton, some clubs and manager fits don’t work. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad manager
  8. I think Salt v Livingstone is the only question really, can’t see Curran or Jordan making it. Livingstone being able to bowl a bit will rightfully push him over the line I reckon.
  9. Think that would be my team. Alex Hales Jos Buttler Dawid Malan Ben Stokes Harry Brook Liam Livingstone Moeen Ali Chris Woakes Reece Topley Adil Rashid Mark Wood
  10. Squad shows 14 on all websites I can see but guess they are taking 15 with Hales. Salt, Jordan, Curran and Brook/Livingstone then I guess.
  11. Which 3 miss out from the squad of 14? Jordan, Salt and Curran? Jos Buttler (Lancashire) Captain Moeen Ali (Worcestershire) Harry Brook (Yorkshire) Sam Curran (Surrey) Chris Jordan (Surrey) Liam Livingstone (Lancashire) Dawid Malan (Yorkshire) Adil Rashid (Yorkshire) Phil Salt (Lancashire) Ben Stokes (Durham) Reece Topley (Surrey) David Willey (Yorkshire) Chris Woakes (Warwickshire) Mark Wood (Durham)
  12. People think if you can see the whole line then that means the whole ball is over it. Your bottom left image seen in real life from a certain angle would show the whole line. It’s obviously not the case but you can tell them all one by one as I’m too tired!
  13. You’ve left a confused emoji face to this @Robboredwhich I am confused about as I am just asking you to clarify which managers you know better than
  14. Same thing happened to me near Tenby a few weeks ago. Had to pay the £25. Can’t be arsed to pursue the £5 as I was so pissed off when they said ‘tough’ that I had to make peace with it and move on!
  15. Ball doesn’t need to be fully over the line.
  16. Which managers do you know more than if ‘almost all’ managers know more than you ?
  17. An go-to tactic of Nige is to increase the number of strikers on the pitch. It usually involves bringing Martin on and the game plan changes. More long balls, more chaos, less shape. I assume they practise this in training but I wouldn’t say the evidence of that practise is making it onto the pitch. Looking at the last 23 games, half a season, he has used this tactic 9 times from what I can see. Totallying 214 minutes and scoring 3 goals. Two of these goals came against Blackpool. So it has had a positive affect on two out of 9 occasions and resulted in a goal every 71 minutes. Without the Blackpool game I make it 1 goal in 184 minutes. Obviously taking out the most successful game of it is going to skew the numbers but I believe it’s worth mentioning. I think playing our normal way we score a goal more frequently than that…every 50 odd minutes. Someone else may well dispute these numbers which is fair enough, I’ve spent 10 minutes on it and will bow to others who disagree if they can show workings! I think though that we can all agree it isn’t working. Is this a tactic that he will keep using do we think? I would love a journalist to ask him about it…..albeit they might get their head bitten off!
  18. I believe it has worked once. Blackpool away but I’d need to check. It hasn’t worked many times
  19. Pearson will always whack loads of strikers on when we need a goal. Can’t remember it working much
  20. If you can name me a forward playing well then I’d be surprised. Both ends need sorting today
