  1. Better off in what way? Knocking on the door of financial fair play? Future stability? NP is proving one thing, SL is just upset he couldn’t make it work for his play thing. To say we’re better off then than we are now is like saying Antony Joshua used to be better 5 years ago after he’s been taking heroin and crack for 5 years. Absolute nonsense comparison.
  2. Our injured XI would be better than this. That’s saying something.
  3. Fair enough. Went through him. But maybe I’m still upset from Wednesday.
  4. Harsh to suggest Max might have done better? Maybe. Maybe not.
  5. Never getting those decisions away. Or at home for that matter.
  6. You’d be livid with that back pass if the other way round.
  7. I just turned over to watch 5 mins of the Bournemouth game. Scott playing incredibly deep and not seeing a lot of the ball. Looks wasted there.
  8. Jesus wept. Just seen the team. Presumably this thread is 10 pages of how we’re at the bare bones?
  9. Genuinely mixed emotions here. Reading their fans celebrate his wife beating case being thrown out on a technicality and genuinely worshipping a despicable man. His constant blaming refs and throwing players under the bus. His conspiracy theories. His excuses. Joey Barton is a horrible scum bag. But he’s left a great legacy at their place. He’s spent fortunes on an aging squad like they’ve never known. And they’re certainly not better off. My prediction is that Joey will go the way of Le Tiss and Lambert and hit a downward spiral. I can only hope. He certainly deserves it. In many ways I despise Joey more than I do Bristol Rovers. He’s a horrible chap with horrible values - they’re just an unpleasant (and hilarious) football club. Bristol Rovers & Joey Barton 2021-2023. A match made in heaven. Dr Seuss once said, “Don’t be sad that it’s over. Smile that it happened.”
  10. Imagine if Joey Barton were our manager? ”We were the better team there. No doubt about it. Everyone who watched could see that. On another night we could’ve won by two or three… …as for Max, he acting like a five year old who’s scared of the ball, doesn’t want to get his palms stung. He’s let us all down and if he wants to make it in professional football he’s going to have to start stepping up to the plate.”
  11. Notice how their commentator doesn’t say something stupid like “surely they’ve done enough to hold on now!”
  12. Defo an injury. Told Sykes at the shirt corner that he didn’t want the ball.
  13. Ahhh the old “let’s all leave the ball flashing across the box” play.
