  1. Following on from your post and given that we no longer have a CEO, what will the Club’s position be, come the January transfer window, should Bell continue his fine form and start scoring steadily and Conway come back from his injury all guns firing and do likewise? In the event we receive interesting transfer offers for one or even both of them, do we accept (who decides?) and, if so, who negotiates the terms and conditions? Is there anybody in the building currently with any experience of such a scenario?
  2. OK, I'm going to bite here. Unfortunately, I only saw the great John Atyeo in his final season with us, yet I am sure I never saw him even hint at such antics. Are you teasing, or did I miss (forget?) something?
  3. Are you listening on (your) local radio or do you have a link?
  4. Well, putting 2&2 together, I see Fleetwood, so, presumably, Lee Johnson is coming back ?. Incidentally, Fleetwood are currently losing 2-0.
  5. Nor how poor old Henry got that hole in his bucket.
  6. I am sure you are correct. I just remember as a young boy my parents ranting about this travesty, whilst, only a few years earlier, they had been happily singing (my mother) Susan Maughan's 'Bobby's Girl' and (my father) Rosemary Clooney's 'Where will the Dimple be' and Diana Decker's Kitty in the Basket and 'Poppa Piccolino'. For the record, I thoroughly enjoyed joining in with the choruses of all of them and even remember the lyrics now, some fifty years later - of course, it helps when your father has them all on 78s and used to play them most Sundays. Just in case you have forgotten, although probably only @slartibartfast will remember any of them:
  7. I seem to recall it was still 'tiptoeing', but 'with my hob nailed boots on'.
  8. Well, of course, he is now, and would have been in his 90s were he still alive. Did you know he was over 6 feet tall?
  9. Tiny Tim didn’t die, despite what Scrooge thought; Dickens made that very clear. Last time I heard, he was tiptoeing through the tulips.
  10. And don't forget your lemon/lime juice, Worcestershire Source and Tabasco.
  11. Have you ever dunked a custard cream in a cup of coffee?
  12. But that's exactly what she has ?. A small jar of Heinz ketchup and a similar pot of mayonnaise; in two separate pots.
  13. Hmmm, Rot Weiss. Very popular in Germany and, of course, in Belgium, from whence Thibaut Courtois originates.
  14. I suspect you are thinking of Bolders. Baggins can be quite sensible at times
  15. When he was playing under SO’D before he came to us, via Ipswich.
  16. Oh my goodness! I wish you hadn’t mentioned that awful song. I remember hearing it numerous times daily, and I thought I had forgotten it.
  17. For one awful moment, I thought you were suggesting bringing in our Somerset star, Jack Brooks.
  18. Sunday 3 September, away to Hampshire.
  19. And, to think. Somebody, somewhere has actually sat down and planned this.
  20. I suspect @HoldenBall was being sarcastic. During the summer, Rovers bought Luke(?)) Thomas from Barnsley, who they had on loan a season or so ago. You may recall that JAB was called out for criticising him for his mental attitude, when LT had a known mental problem, but LT then confirmed that JAB’s criticism was just the kick up the backside he needed - he seems to be quite a useful player. Similarly, young Connor Taylor, a central defender on loan from Stoke, played a prominent role in Rovers’ promotion season, and he was also signed on a permanent deal a few weeks ago.
  21. Very witty. I wanted to post a ‘laugh’ Emoji, but feared my intention might be misconstrued.
  22. They are discussing what name to give to their new stand. To be fair, I did like this one. The ‘Print that, you Green Bastards’ Stand.
