  1. Atmosphere at AG has in large been awful since the redevelopment. Think the Atyeo needs to be refurbished into an a slightly larger stand that would allow more of a Home-Away Split, moving S82 into next to the away fans with a proper cordon.
  2. Technically speaking - Tinnion hasn't had anything to do with player development, recruitment on the other hand sure. However - Kelly, Reid, and Bryan came through when Horseman was development lead (whom Reid credited with being the biggest influence for him in the academy). All had nothing to do with Tinnion and pre date his tenure as Head of Youth Recruitment as when they joined. The same applies to Conway (2009), Bell (2011), and even Palmer-Houlden (2012). Tinnion became said Head of Youth Recruitment in 2013 (worth noting his LinkedIn dates are about as accurate as the spelling on it), as per - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/23009461, the city site article on it has mysteriously vanished. So the only players that recruited during the intervening period of Tinns being 'Head of Youth Recruitment' that went onto develop were Alex Scott and Semenyo. But even then, for some reason on Scott's announcement per the website (https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/alex-scott-joins-city/) Probert seems to take lead, with his comments being the focus, and Tinns referenced as only 'Loan Manager', so there are some blurred lines as to what his actual role was in that signing, with the same being the case in his announcement as 'Player Pathway Manager' (https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/tinnion-appointed-player-pathway-manager/) - only, again, a mention as loan manager. So there's no clarity. It's only after his sale to Bournemouth we got more details as per - https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/football/bristol-city/the-inside-bristol-city-story-as-to-how-club-unearthed-ps25m-gem-alex-scott-4137520 - with Vance being first sounded as a contact by SL back in 2010.

Just checked. Inherited David Kelly from Deeneys reign. Bizarrely, was assistant to a certain Paul Simpson, at Preston.

    Is Carey still assistant?
  5. Agree with the majority of that - think as you note its Murphy and Bird in for James and Williams, which will reduce wages, but also mean our only midfielder with Champ experience in the last 12 months come end of season is Knight. Think we sign a replacement for Twine in the summer - as I think the fee to sign him is laughably high and not value for money, if we do it also means that NP was outright sabotaged to an even greater extent than we believe already. There's a difference between backing for the right player and blowing the budget completely - but then we've done the same under LJ and likely not learned from it at all. The one benefit for Tinnion - which should be difficult for him to muck up - is that with clubs slimming squad sizes down, like last summer, loads of players are becoming available on frees as things stand end of season. Just for the midfield alone if we wish to replace King, there are options including the likes of Browne, Mowatt, Shackleton, among others who have experience at this level all on frees end of season as things stand. Sadly, as for the bold - if he doesnt, we're nailed on relegated if not primary candidates to be such next season as things stand. At least in my view. As on paper that squad with one or two additions has much less experience at this level - and Williams and James have had some very good performances in our only wins under Manning, its imperative they get their replacements - if not renewing either - right. I'd prefer some depth.
  6. Lack of oversight - which Ashton now has at Ipswich with Gamechanger.
  7. I'll be honest, the pitch zoning was actually quite clever. Just not sure how it applied during the second half of his tenure when we were camped in our own half. Made it just slightly redundant. I maintain LJs main issue has and always will be man management.
  8. I wouldn't have an issue with the Lansdowns if JL was made Chairman of the Flyers and Fever Pitch but removed from BCFC Chairmanship, and Tinnion sacked. Appoint Mark Warburton to be Director of Football, Pearson as Manager, and appoint Gavin Marshall as Chairman as the only other current active Director on the board - https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/bristol-sport-group-confirms-new-board-roles-for-kelly-and-marshall/. Horseman back in as Head of Youth Development. Let them then proceed to get on with it, plan for the rest of the season and the summer and kick on next season. Don't interfere, just set the budgets (i.e. £5m limit plus player trading, use available wage budget after James, King, and other contracts finish, wage caps (if felt necessary to avoid an MA repeat) and aims. Step back. Don't leave it to two people completely under-qualified for the task at hand.
  9. Think all the evidence is there as Fevs has pointed out for all. Chucking figures at an interview thinking it makes him sound clever. Then turns out he's colour-blind and can't read.
  10. But your point about "win at Leciester/WBA hasnt been addressed" or thereof is literally a what if.... The entire point of this thread is a what if. Viewpoints being discussed on prospective results is literal all hypothetical, I've said viewpoints could change to the better if we pick up unexpected points - but you've not addressed what happens in the opposite scenario, and brushed it off with 'all this “what ifs” you mention, I really don’t find interesting, and pretty pointless', you're just avoiding the crux of the argument that this entire thread asks.
  11. View point would shift more the point. But as I said, I don't think, for example, beating WBA and drawing Leicester would help Mannings case when the point of the orignal post was a minimum of two wins, and at least five good performances (indicating separate of any result). So hypothetically, say we win at WBA, drawing Leicester; but then go onto draw at Rotherham and lose the rest of our games this season - what then? The post isn't nonsense - it's questioning what the goals should be to end of season now we're ultimately 95% safe of relegation.
  12. He's not referenced WBA or Leicester as I think he's ignoring the idea of us picking up anything against them. I'm of the same mind being frank. If we get anything pretty sure @Numero Uno viewpoint would shift slightly. But say we draw against both, doubt then losing all three of the aforementioned fixtures around us alleviates any pressure on Manning. Appreciate the optimism of thinking we'll get diddly out of Leicester and WBA though, wish I was as optimistic.
  13. Worked for Millwall sacking Edwards, so far. And Wednesday replacing Xisco with Rohl.
  14. Quoting his OP post" Two wins MINIMUM out of Huddersfield, Blackburn and Rotherham A MINIMUM of five of our remaining nine games where people come away generally having enjoyed the football on offer. Not sure where you've pulled wins against WBA and Leicester unless you mean the tongue in cheek off-comments made as we do worse against teams under or around us under Manning in general and misconstrued them.
  15. Kettle, Black. You've answered nothing yet as to why Manning should or deserves be given more time. Still waiting on a viewpoint. Anything.
  16. What about Numero's post is unreasonable? If we let Pearson get away with worse he would be equally critiqued, like he was before the WBA when his job was on the line.
  17. That's very kind. Lansdown was about 40% if that, South Stand barely half full. I'd say around 15k if that.
  18. Disagree. Don't think the fan culture has been quite this bad since we've been back at this level, part of that is leadership, part of that is Manning. We'll see with the ST renewals imo.
  19. I mean. It's not going to happen though is it? Not without a massive slice of pure luck. The law of statistics is that they average out across a season - for example for xG we're 19th for a reason - we pose no threat - below both Huddersfield and QPR for xG for. (https://footystats.org/england/championship/xg). Backed up where our first shot came in the 72nd minute ultimately. We're being saved by being clinical. It's not impossible - but it simply doesn't bode well longer term for performances to be what they have been.
  20. No mention of the results. Performances.
  21. Thats just a delusional observation - quote anybody saying anything remotely close to that. Think it more the case that people just want to see us be competitive and semi-competent. Not whatever that was served up today - or against Cardiff, Wed, Millwall, QPR, and Preston. In something that's not a cup fixture.
