Ok, ok. That's just me, then, not "us." I am arrogant and disrespectful, when we are in L1 playing tinpot sh1te like Crawley and Fleetwood
They are sh@te if they play sh@te and decent if they play decent. Burton is a good example. No way they should be where they are based on club size, but they are doing ok so far. That deserves respect not arrogant put downs, even if their ground is an overgrown bus shelter.

When we were in L1. We lost twice to Crewe at cresty rd. I never once said crewe were rubbish, despite the fact they were in relegation position because on both occasions they were resilient and managed to win.
I gave them credit. Admittedly jet was terrible in the first game and smith was not fit for the second. Villa suffering from the same disease as Leeds, Forrest and others that recently being in the premiership gives you the right to beat decent championship sides.

It's a pretty crap way of coping, not giving respect to the opposition will just make defeat worse.

I read their forum a few days back and was absolutely shocked at some of the disrespectful comments towards us. Crap little club, should win 3-0/4-0. I am so glad they got taught a lesson yesterday, arrogant *****
the statement ' pride comes before destruction' was made for their forum when it comes to away games!! Will they never learn

Total lack of respect for opponents from Villa fans. Many on their forum saying we are a **** team. I think they all need to learn a little humility, maybe then, their fortunes will improve.
One of them called us a mediocre fizzy pop side before the match! What does that even mean? We certainly had a lot more fizz than them in the second half. They all looked at last seasons home record, instead of since cotts left. Seems like their fans are as complacent as some of their players

Fair result I have no idea what we were doing first half, far too many aimless long balls. Better second half but still poor overall.
Can't understand playing Bryan wide and odemwinge in the middle. Bryan has played well in the middle, likewise odemwinge on the wing. They were trying to get head ons from wilbs, but that obviously wasn't happening? So they should have stopped trying. Rotherham were good at pressing, but little else. Made for a poor game to watch.

Odemwingies header was right at him from my angle. Could be wrong but I thought at the time a poor effort. The save from the header first half was very, very good indeed.
We were at home mind!
They have won 3 out of their last 4 away and drawn the other, so although not pretty, it's not a bad result.
We played attractive football against Burnley and Brentford and managed to lose both those quite easily

Any team worth their place in this division ought to have seen us off today. Shocking game, two teams playing very poorly. We had zero creativity. Lucky to get out of tonight as we did. I expect - and hope - there will be some stern words in training tomorrow
Their keeper made 2 brilliant saves O'donnell never had to dive once, so although we were poor we edged it and deserved to win more than they did,

That's how warnock plays though. High pressure game forcing mistakes and disjointed play. How did Smith look tonight btw?
Not back to his best by any means. Failed to impose himself on the game. Improved second half, but that wasn't hard. Pack actually did more defensive work than him, and also passed the ball forward with variable accuracy but did put us on the front foot in the early part of the second. Korey was under pressure on the ball and looked shakey

Condensed Version
Hull
William Wilberforce and Horatio Nelson stubbed their toes here whilst eating triffle with melange and waiting to go to the Falklands.
PS: Mick Ronson came from Hull also
And the 'House Martins'

That's 22 points from 12 games. Prior to cotts going we had 21 from 25 games. This is play off form! And yet some will turn on LJ if we lose a couple in a row. You know who you are!

Can't believe that was the same side that came from 1-0 down last week. That side showed passion and knew when to pass. Tomlin was dealt with better today and their keeper made a decent save or two. Cardiff though not great managed to shut us out again. They can defend.

Feared the worst when Korey was not in the team - I gave us no chance! First ten mins it seemed to be coming true as they were all over us...then we got back in to it a bit before conceding a soft goal from a free-kick.
But when it looked like we would go in 1-0 down and set for a difficult 2nd half, Bryan pinged a shot against the post and Kodjia followed up, we were right back in it an hopes of a draw were a bit higher...
No idea what happened 2nd half but what a performance. Dominated and had numerous chances before and after Flint headed the winner. Where did it come from?! So much confidence from everyone. Pack controlled everything! Wagstaff looked good too when he came on which begs the question why Cotteril hasn't used him this season.
Delighted to be wrong about no chance without Korey.
We will be safe this season and hopefully a few games before the end!
Pack was so good second half. A captains performance!

Not sounding as tight as we did in recent games (bar Brighton), but equally had some chances ourselves.
Long way to go of course, but no one in bottom three winning, so keeping that gap...so far.
Lot of danger down their left, but little has improved as the game has gone on. Tomlin is having a blinder.

Johnson is the only name touted around for the last 3 weeks who has a proper connection with the club and really wanted the job. For those reasons I'm glad he got it, unfortunately it means Otib goes into overdrive. I've inly just got over all the bs on here from when he was playing!

Fantastic result. We have beaten the worst team in the division today. Need to beat Ipswich as well now
they beat Rotherham 1-4 away last week!

Sounds like the lads deserved it!

Glad that freeman had a good game. Our motm according to 5live, he has been pretty poor last 3 outings and I was beginning to wonder if he would ever play well again. Very glad to be proved wrong! I don't like criticising him cos he gives everything for the cause.
-
the most important thing today was not to get tonked and to put on a good display. That will have restored some belief in the team (especially in attack) which had been absent since the second half of charlton match.
-
to come back from 1-0 down with 27mins to play is a very good sign. As was the subs contribution. Congratulations on a great result. I've been to the last 3 away matches and that's a massive improvement. Well done the lads and roll on Tuesday, hopefully with clough added to the squad.

If anyone had said we would be the Chelsea of the championship this season, I'd have been made up! Are our fortunes directly linked 0-1 Bournemouth

I thought the game was 50/50 up till the sending off! Nathan Baker needs to look at himself with 3 really awful tackles and apologise to his team mates and Cotts didn't help by not making the substitute at HT. The penalty at the end was never a penalty but if you go to ground in the box and give the ref who was not great for most of the game a decision to make then you're asking for trouble!! Flint needs to stay on his feet, it never cost us the game and it's something he can learn from.
Thought we played the better football first half but the final ball wasn't good enough, Reid needs to work on his corners, all were terrible.

If Freeman isn't dropped after another awful performance then I will be truly mistified. Reid wasn't great today but considering he shouldn't be played in the middle 2 I don't think you can slate him too much. Freeman out for Reid and maybe we'll see some attacking promise from the team, even though Baker has clearly tightened us defensively he's practically useless going forward and I think the return of a very fresh Joe Bryan could help us.
Agree re freeman the amount of good build up play wasted by him feeling he had to beat a player when a simple pass would have been far more effective. And when he finally did try s simple pass which would have put Bennett through, he couldn't manage it. His worst performance in a series of poor home displays, at least Reid tried to put the artackers through. Freeman looks ever more like a one trick pony. Far to easy for decent defenders to read. I thought smith was brilliant today and apparently he had s stinker last week, so hopefully Luke can improve next week. He has been playing better away.

1-1. Couldnt beat Bolton so gives me no confidence for us to convincingly beat these
Not beating Bolton was mostly down to the ref. Although we didn't play as well as against the Welsh, they were abject first half and we should have been 1-0 up for an obvious pen. which against their attack was a 1-0 win. Couldn't even score with the help of the softest penalty I've seen since birmingham. By the way Charlton 1-0 down and playing like sh@@e
