Having spent a bit of time reading through this thread, I am truly amazed at how bitter some of you lot come across.

It's disappointing that they now have a chance to kick on but some on here seem so desperate to put them down, that you cling to anything and make yourselves look bitter and petty.  "Oh Lansdown  still has more money" or "be careful what they wish for"

Will it pay off for them? Who knows....but can some of us just stop acting so bitter . It's embarrassing

And according to some we arent your rivals anymore, but those same people seem to have a healthy interest in us

    Go figure

I have no idea of this will be good or bad for us. We were voing bust under NH,.so cant do much worse with Mr Al-Qadi

Well if that's true they might be able to clear the immediate debts but will still be reliant on selling to Sainsbury's or borrowing from their own bank in order to fund the stadium.

I have no idea of the familys wealth. Far too much rumour and speculation.

The bank though is just one of the things they have involvement in. They also own Four Seasons Amman and have other leisure industry involvement.

Whether it is 60 million or 600 they obviously have acces to money and invesent because of the businesses they are in.

For me the biggest positive is they actually have real business savvy and Wae is hevaily involved in football.

Heres hoping for a bright future for both teams

Welcome. Never seen you on here before - and I guess that's what makes me smile.

On this day, when seemingly good news for your lot is to be announced, your first stopping off point is to the forum of your rivals. I don't understand why - other than you thought you'd be able to witness and report back how mortified and worried we all are, instead of which you find us all pretty ambivalent.

We really don't care that you've sold your birthright to a foreign investor. You'll live or die with the consequences. If it works out for you then in a few years, you can dream of being where we are now - but by then, we will have moved on. Of course, if it doesn't work out for you, then it could prove to be the end of everything. For us, it really doesn't matter one jot. Report that back!

Oh and Miah is one of yours btw.

Well it wasnt my first port of call but anyway.

I was just interested in the reaction on here and offered my opinion. Not like i have come here to rub it in your faces

I am not a bitter City or Rovers fan trying to belittle either side. I havent slagged your club off or your chair.

As I say I hope this is a positive time for both clubs. Whilst soke on both sides would rather the other doesnt exist, i would rather have a competitive, rivalry as high up the leagues as possible

  5. Apparently some presser at around half one

As a Gashead, i am wary and interested and excited

I have never been one to knock SL. This is the world of football now. Your  struggles for want of a better word and the demands to stay in the championship require money even for the lowest spending clubs with wages and transfer seemingly increasing all the time.

I for one hipe this is a positive for us and for you guys as well. I would rather see both clubs battling each other in the championship or Prem than what we have had for too long

Quite. Plus there's the small matter of FFP. I think UWE will get built though, which will obviously help things. I did always say you had a backup plan on that front ;)

They could always do what Fleetwood owner does. Stick an office in the UWE and pay a nice office rent

I seem to remember some 'serious investors' coming into City a few years ago, guaranteeing top flight football, a major trophy and European football within a certain time frame- I won't be holding my breath.

Dont you have a billionaire owner anyway?
