As the saying goes "most people are promoted to one position above their ability". In Tinnion's case it is several.

Lee Iohnson to return With Dean Holden as his assistant. The dream ticket.
With Steve's nest egg To spend.
Not really a dream ticket, more a nightmare.

Saw him score a hat trick at St Andrews against us Christmas in the 70's....first £1M footballer. Sad news.
Wasn't it actually £999,999 ?

Utter waste of time. Twenty odd years of his stewardship and what have we got? SL grinning like the village idiot as his" legacy" is being polished by pop concerts. festivals etc., to leave him even wealthier when he finally sells up.
Oh, football, is that the game with the round ball or the oval ball, just asking? Not that interested to be honest, produces nothing for my future wealth increase
I just thank God every night, that I had a spare bedroom. I was at least bright enough to see the possibilities and grabbed onto Peter Hargreaves shirt tail. Who says an accountant (qualified?) is the dullest bloke on the planet and will empty the pub in under five minutes? Peter stays in Somerset and pays his full UK taxes, Sap. It's lovely in Guernsey. Am thinking of having Davefevs and some of his sycophantic disciples over for a day or two

Any streams available?

I have been unable to pause, re-wind or record on the red button this season. I seem to recall being able to do so last season. Anyone any ideas?

Ban has been overturned, so free to play against us if picked.

It’s interesting that in the salary cap proposals that the financial penalties incurred by non-compliant clubs would be shared back out to those clubs that were compliant. Good idea imho.
What does "imho" mean, Dave?

Yes a very bad ref. By not seeing all the infringements, he made the poor players have to play for 55 minutes or so, instead of the usual 40 odd minutes. Disgusting, they should be paid overtime, they may EMSD (extra minutes stress disorder)

Win, loose or draw, we are then faced with the three most depressing words in the English language "the International break".

I can't believe anyone would have picked this side.

Really thought Johnson might have taken a bit of a risk, in a last ditch effort to instil some life into the team. Bring in some of the players that might show some fight, Elliason, Djuric, O'Neil, Hegeller. But no fear, reward those who played so pathetically recently.

I imagine the scouting team are involved, as they should be, but id be very surprised if LJ didn't have the final say.
I would sincerely hope you are right but I would then ask why do so many appear to be not to his liking?

the list of players signed under LJ is quite extraordinary , then add in the loan players. LJ needs better material.
We have signed around 11 players since last season and only 2 of those 11 started in both games, coincidence?, just saying.
The above posts seem to me to indicate that our recruitment policy is poor to say the least. I too have been underwhelmed by the quality brought in, too often on the pretext that "they are the future".
Lee Johnson has the title "Head Coach" not Manager. Considering how many have been signed (an unprecedented number in my long experience of the Club) a thought occurs. Could it be that recruitment is undertaken by others, Mark Ashton, scouts, etc., and the Head Coach is then expected to build his team from the players he is given. Before the keyboard warriors burst a blood vessel and reach for the "rubbish" key I would point out that it does happen.

- I have to admit that the Rovers losing, possibly, gives me greater pleasure than City winning.

I agree totally.
Landsdown supplied the spare bedroom, Hargreaves supplied the brains.
