  1. Prior to training with us, I doubt he was sitting on his ass waiting for a club to call. He will have been doing fitness work with a PT or a specialised football fitness coach. Just how quick he can get up to match fitness is the question.
  2. Yeah for sure. Footballers don’t get a lot of sympathy but regardless of their earnings etc, they still have mortgages and bills to pay. Not being able to earn a wage for 6 months could have serious consequences for some of them, most likely younger players as well.
  3. I think the rule’s slightly different if a club was to be liquidated.
  4. You said you’d never heard of his name before this season. But, yes I’ve watched games he’s played in before and him and Scott looked a cut above players of a similar age to them.
  5. How could you not have heard of AB name prior to this season? His name has been talked about for the past 2/3 years, he’s had call ups for England…. he’s not just your average player who goes through the academy system. It’s probably easier just to admit that you’re talking shite.
  6. Oh how the tables have turned, or so it would seem.
  7. Sorry, been living on the moon for the past couple of years……. have Derby County no longer got the EFL & Championship clubs on strings then?
  8. Always rumours of other teams fans in the home ends and it either never happens or if it does, they sensibly keep their gobs shut. If they do open their gobs I suppose they can look forward to trying to beat that Leeds fans time for falling from the top of the Dolman to the bottom.
  9. I don’t think anyone should be taking lessons in entertainment from someone who enjoys counting passenger coming off trains at Parsons Street. So much wrong in your post it’s making my head hurt.
  10. It’s the private hire boat I’d imagine.
  11. The Villa lad hasn’t moved, what was he to do, just vanish ? ridiculous decision.
  12. They go into a end of season play off with the top two from the northern section to determine the seasons champion.
  13. Don’t agree with the booing but anyone who was paying £20+ to watch an uninspiring cup tie is clearly a real fan.
  14. The game up at Bramall Lane was a one off tie, the game would have gone to extra time and penalty’s had we drawn.
  15. 15,000 there tonight apparently, got to love a big family night out.
  16. Sounds like Pearson’s kind of forward!
  17. So the record books say ? Weird thing was we got back down by the harbour after the game and it was like being in another world, bright sunshine and decent spring warmth.
  18. It wouldn’t be surprising if that was true. The same managers will be moaning about fixture congestion at the end of the season as well.
  19. Reminds me of that game down at Torquay back around 2005. Think we won something like 4-0 but all the goals were down the other end before half time, no one had a clue we had scored until a group of red shirted players come back to the half way line still celebrating each time.
  20. Probably the same as down there, they count all season ticket holders whether they turn up tomorrow. Will be a few surprised eyes when they read out 16k tomorrow!!
  21. How would you extend the season by a month though? There’s an international window in June, you’d potentially have the most important games of the season being played without key players.
  22. You can have all 3 jabs and still spread the virus. I’m sure I have people who sit in my office who have decided not to get the jab, would I want them banished from the office? No of course not. I’m not sure how you can do that from a legal point of view either.
  23. Is the same to be said for doctors and nurses? I’m pro vaccine, I’ve had all mine but I feel there shouldn’t be mandatory vaccinations and no one should be barred, especially when fit and able to, from working.
