In the words of Rafa 'Fact'

I have to talk about facts. From October 2000 we have been better, fact.

Our average attendances are now proven better, fact.

So I am sorry to all the sad Gasheads we are better than you, facts!!

Lets not forget a number of other clubs such as Barnsley,Port Vale, S****horpe, Bradford, Southend plus the relegated clubs and the promoted clubs will be playing them as well... all tough games so if Dopey and his dopier followers think they are going to do well/win promotion they could be in for a very rude awakening.. If they go up then I could see them struggling between 15th and one of the relegation spots, they should be looking to consolidate. They haven't been promoted yet but they seem to be talking like they are 8 or 9 points clear of the playoffs.

Yes their fixtures would be deemed easier but with those clubs literally have nothing to play for, it could be more nervy for the Gas. We seen yesterday that Boro in their promotion challenge were rattled against an already relegated Bolton who had nothing to play for

Don't forget Swindle. The only club to ever win a league in November.

Keep an eye on Pompey though. Hitting form at the right time and a game in hand. They should never have lost to Plymouth yesterday by all accounts but the old `dockyard derby` is always a tricky one to call and it does keep Argyle in the mix at least.

I still think they`re going up in auto though.

Pompey won't do it they've bottled it now imo. Oxford will go up with Rovers I think. The other lot are just so inconsistent and annoying. Plymouth especially.

  4. Let's be honest I think they will go up now looking at their final 4 fixtures. The other teams seem to just be throwing automatic promotion away. Clarke and Rovers however have hit form when it matters so fair play to them you have to give credit where credit is due.

Long way to go for them to get to the Championship.

  5. Should have been stopped at the latest 7th round. He was a warrior in fairness that he was battling but Eubank jr landed so many punches on him in 3/4 rounds straight.

Gutted for Blackwell hope he pulls through this OK.

  6. My genuine prediction for Rovers in the next 2/3 years...
They will get promotion to League 1.
Struggle for the first 3/4 months and Clarke will get sacked.
Holloway their god will come back and they will talk of Premier League once more and will struggle.
They'll languish around L1 for years and do not a lot.
They'll still claim they're a bigger, better supported club than us, somehow they're richer and we're really jealous.

Glad my Dad was a City fan, imagine being one of them!!

What's really telling is that Rovers' fans have mentioned Bristol City as much, if not more, than their new owners since the takeover was announced. Are we the limit of their ambitions?

That genuinely is their whole ambition as a fanbase really. Never known a club like it.

Commiserations, my local recycling centre has a bin dedicated to Dyson cleaners,

Just seen this and scanned quickly through this news...Blimey what a to-do, and yes I am flabbergasted and slightly jealous if it's true, as I suspect if (if) we were being honest we all are envious With a huge war chest Rovers will be a force to reckon with, all the way to knocking on the door to the Prem. Perhaps that what we need a kick up the backside, after all we have so underachieved it's embarrassing, Bristol need a team to be playing in the top flight, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ...PLEASE NOT THEM!!!

    Wow what an overreaction!

  9. In all seriousness like someone has alluded to already isn't it a bit odd that their main board members have all jumped ship at the first opportunity as well?!
'They were looking at L1 and L2 clubs to buy' OK so how many clubs have they approached?

We'll see how it goes, some interesting times ahead for both clubs it seems.

bunch of hypocrites !! saying we sold out to lansdown, and the club are his plaything and will get bored and sell us up the swanney,  now its ok for them to take the new investment ?

    in lansdown we trust ..............

Exactly my thoughts. You couldn't make it up really, reckon they should change their name to 'Bristol Jokers'
