Rovers 1-4 Sainsbury An early goal from rovers as the judge announced sympathy for the club, but then a rout ensued with rovers' previously watertight defence torn wide open resulting with a humiliating defeat.
-
Even their official statements come over as amateur and desperate.

Ah, Rag-ass Rovers. I'd completely forgotten about them for a month or so. Did it really happen? Or was their non-league dalliance just a dream...

Blatter: "Many people hold me ultimately responsible for the football community..." Erm, yes, you are the president.
-
The fact that he refuses to acknowledge the situation or understand his own inherent involvement - direct or not - that his position as president has brought, ultimately just goes to further underline that his tenure should end and that his integrity is flawed.
-
Surely Blatter will fall now. Clever and cunning can catch up with you. He's nothing short of a mafia boss, and hopefully a whistleblower or two has something on him. Wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't actually been directly involved in the bribes/corruption; I don't believe he's interested in money. All he cares about is his own self importance, and probably hasn't spent a penny of his own money anyway for a quarter of a century. Been swanning around with his entourage of yes men, staying in 5* hotels, courting presidents, pm's, sheiks, princes. He's just addicted to power and influence.

Did a little fist pump when heard this...just a big shame theres one name missing from that list.

Tbf I believe that picture was taken six hours after the event. At its peak the throng was so large that the roads were blocked off and they then became literally stacked on top of one another so high that the airspace was restricted around the mem, meaning this photo wouldn't have been possible.
-
Still, tbf, their outcome was a fairytale for them. They managed to achieve promotion and reap the financial benefits of a home sell out and wembley final. If they could have chosen auto promotion or play off win before beforehand it would no doubt have been the latter.

The Official Champions V Walsall Match Day Thread.
Manon replied to havanatopia's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
So looks very likely that three teams will surpass 90 pts this season. Maybe some statistician will know the answers, but I think that is fairly unusual..? Anyway, not really sure how that can be interpreted regarding our achievement this season - it's a debate for another thread I suppose. Enjoying the relaxed atmosphere on this triumphant final day. Wouldn't want to be in Preston's shoes that's for sure. COYR let's end on a high! 4-1
