Not cheeky chappie Cotts. I was there and saw what you saw - don't think it was City's worst performance (oh the choice we have!) but first half was appallingly bad. Yes Cotterill did make the change in time (how bad are we that Marvin Elliott is our saviour?) but that was after the team were subjected to boos ringing around the ground at half time because he got it wrong first half. I think we were lucky yesterday but hopefully "Cotts" will learn quickly and take us up the table. Sadly as yet little that he has said or done has impressed me - but I live in hope and Moore looks an astute signing. And the post match interview rambling on about the crowd not seeing what's really happening or some such rubbish was toe-curling. He should know by now that you only have a real understanding of the performance if you don't go to the match but post your commentary on the game on here. That's not a dig at people who don't attend as there are all manner of reasons why people don't go and that's fine. Going though gives you a feel of whether the team is going forwards or backwards week by week ... And like RichS I think we are going backwards. Still time to turn things around though hopefully and being out of the bottom four has got to be good for the team mentality. But if SL is being let down by those below him, surely he needs to accept that his board room team needs to be improved and take responsibility for making those appointments? I didn't get the impression from his interview that he felt there was a problem. What I found sad about Steve's interview was how out of touch he seems with fans' opinions. This is especially so when you look back at how united we were under GJ's tenure. For example he couldn't understand that many fans weren't happy about SOD's dismissal - yet if he did read this forum he would understand why. Pretty much rubbishing the 5 pillars as something every other club has when we've been told time and time again how important it is as City's strategy felt like adding insult to injury. Surely there is a way that Steve could be more in touch with the fans and address their concerns directly, perhaps building some bridges in the process? I appreciate he's in Guernsey but there are such things as q and a's on Twitter, web chats etc surely? Steve is outraged at the way that Jon has been criticised and as a Father I would find some if the abuse intolerable too. Equally though respect has to be earned and perhaps if Jon was seen to be working more closely with Steve and listening to and addressing fans concerns more, that respect would be more forthcoming. Still, what do I know? I bought into the whole SOD and five pillars strategy ...

I disagree Monkeh. I also disagree with your assertion that Warnock is the man for the job. But hey it's City, so going from a manager who wants to work with a young team and make it the future to a classless dinosaur who is way past his sell-by date is more than possible. I despair.

Was in the Williams stand today and didn't hear audible moans. Not saying didn't happen, just didn't hear it where i was sitting. Have to wonder if the smaller crowd lacking the usual negativity /impatience made a difference, as the team grew in confidence as the game progressed. Wasn't a pretty game to watch and could have gone either way first half. JET is in a class of his own. Thought Maloney and Reid played well. Big relief to be grinding out some results at last.
