  1. I love how optimistic they all are about this, a few years back it would have been a bigger deal but with FFP moves like this don't carry as much weight. Granted they may now have the external funds for a new stadium and better facilities, but it's not like they can buy the league by getting better players in. Ultimately clubs have to be run well and have good management teams in to succeed. If the new owner makes a balls up of that then it makes no difference, and you end up being Darlington mk.2.

Be careful what you wish for.

WOW: Sky TV has ****ed up MASSIVELY on the boxing. You can watch the Fury and Klitschko fight for free on channel 872. Get It!!!!!

If that's true I'm fuming as I ordered last minute!

    Well, shit.

When was the last time we have were 4 nil down at half time?

Game was over at 3 nil; avoidance of utter humiliation is now the only goal today.

Wonder if we'll bother putting on any of the 3-4 attacking players we have to try and at least do that?

Last time we were four down at half time was against our next opponents, Wolves. We lost 1-4 and were relegated with them months later!

  4. Lets be honest we have been dealt a harsh hand in terms of an opening fixture list. We have been punished for some silly errors but today we have come up against a side who on paper should have beaten us no problem. The reality of the day was that we were the far better team, but were undone uncharacteristially by two set pieces. Burnley deserve credit for some very good last minute tackles and blocks and we all know that Heaton is going to save you a few points in a season. If we play to that standard week in week out we will be fine this season.

Positives for me were Bobby Reid and Kodjia, lively all day causing hassle, The fact that we really looked solid in open play until the game got stretched. Also was impressed with Smith as well. Negatives were Pack, Little and Williams, inconsistency seems to be their issue, and I don't think Wes Burns was too impactful off the bench either.

Chin up guys, we'll get there!

  5. Perhaps but maybe it's just that SC is fiercely loyal to his first team squad and there's just not enough of a good reason ( for him) to send one of his players to watch from the stands. Steve will want to end the season with a couple more wins and knows how best to achieve that.

I don't think loyalty has any relevence today when there are two spaces on the bench. I agree in principle but what today says to me is that in SC's eyes we have no other players capable to make a positive impact in our squad. That is a worry to me!
