  1. If we get relegated the following will happen. - At least half of the playing squad will be gone. These players will need to be replaced with players who can make the step up. If this isn't done correctly we'll be in for a long season. - the gates will drop, probably to around 10-14k. - L1 is not a walk in the park. Take a look at the league table, half of those teams have been in the championship in the not too distant past. Some now in league two, and even national league. - Lansdown will find it harder to secure external investment. - It will be harder for us to persuade promising academy prospects to stay, if wanted by upper championship/ premier league sides. - above all we will take a huge financial hit, one which we cannot afford to take. Will you now answer my question?
  2. You'd be willing to risk it and wait to find out?
  3. Something has to change very soon if things don't start to improve. The "changing the way the club is run" rebate is all well and good but if we don't start performing better on the pitch then we will be going down. If we go down we won't come back up. For a long time. And I don't know what other fans think, but I don't want to be watching league one (or worse!) Football for years to come. The 'project' is a massive one. So why not move Nigel upstairs to a DoF role to continue to re-jumbling of the club. Because perhaps the scale of this has detracted from what's going on on the pitch. We're going to need new ideas very quickly, because the performances on the pitch are not to be celebrated, and they haven't been for a long long time.
  4. I'm hoping we find a replacement for James. He just slows things down all the time. His body positioning is always negative from the off, making the backwards pass the only option 90% of the time
  5. Last thing I expected from you @Davefevs. I respect your opinion, analysis and undoubted support for the club, but a clickbait title isn't the way to go about it. Tensions within the fan base are rightly high. We cannot risk relegation, and at the moment that is a real possibility. I've backed Nige for a long time, but it's now running very thin. I understand the constraints and what he's trying to do, but it's not working at the moment, and we cannot afford to wait see if it works before the seasons end. Football is a cut throat business, Nige will know this more than anyone.
  6. I expect this is what it is. Have to bring every aspect in line with the PC brigade. Not that our mascot has much importance.
  7. Matty James will be back in tonight to slow it all down even further.
  8. I'm inclined to agree with you. Flip it the other way around, if it was a female player and not Bajic, then I think people would be up in arms about It.
  9. Bloody typical if it's a bad one..
  10. I don't understand why they haven't reserved seating for season ticket holders? What's the point off having advanced access without it?
  11. It's good to see us playing positively, it's been too long since we've seen attractive football. Yes we lost tonight, but I felt a sense of pride, this is how we should be playing. *Minus the errors!
  12. I always thought they travelled up to allow time for a session before the game?
  13. Quite strong according to some of their fans?
  14. Going by his Instagram, HNM is watching the u21s at the HPC today, so I'm assuming he didn't travel with the squad.
  15. Is anyone actually concerned we could lose NP if/ when Leicester give Rodgers the boot? It would be a real kick In the gut.
  16. Most clubs have their relative cycle. I don't think they'll go down this season, but they're obviously a long way from where they were a couple of years ago. And I expect they'll bounce back a few years down the line.
  17. Thanks for the link @Port Said Red, here's some I've cherry picked to save people time.
  18. I hope James doesn't have one of his slow games tonight..
  19. Big shame, will miss those crunching tackles. Hopefully he finds prosperity in a new venture.
  20. Think it's more the fact that this debate had been done to death, with people having valid points on both sides of the argument.
