  2. I have worked loads this year and was going to treat me and my wife season tickets in the Lansdown for a season and then move back to the south stand season as can only afford 1 season in Lansdown, looks like I will stay where we are

    This Cliff, this.

When my dad was given the news that his cancer was terminal it was in the Covid period. I remember him crying, and one of the things him saying was that he’d never get to Ashton Gate again. And he didn’t - he was gone before the grounds reopened. His name and memory for me is all over the ground though and I feel closer to him there than anywhere else.

It’s what you love. And it’ll be what you love irrespective of what’s served up because it’s a huge part of your life. I’d renew if I were you, come what may.

Great post that mate so very true , it’s more than just football, memories of people you meet special matches we all remember for different reasons

    Fair play that’s commitment!

70 or 80 that could be online though, saving special trips. Don’t get it.

Really nice bloke in store he said online sales is always 25% of the stock and that is done away from Ashton gate so what was on the racks was the other 75% of the stock

He’s a top guy, pantomime villain. Wish we had appointed him over Lee Johnson, we would have been promoted by now and also he wanted the job.

Met him on the train last year he was going to Leeds for his book signing he said he was close once to getting the job really nice bloke in all fairness

Not trying to diminish your experience, but what did your dad say to them? I’d find it fairly implausible that they’d react like that unless he gave them an earful.

He just said just watch the match lads these blokes were disgusting as we had loads of swearing, more than happy with banter this went well past that lots of elderly people in the small section

  7. I went along to the match tonight with my father in his 70’s , my dad has mobility issues and our allocated seats were far to high up for dad , we approached the stewards who were amazing and was given a special area for special requirements down by the Southampton fans left hand comer flag , half way through the match we had three city fans  who just walked in the little area and were constantly abusing Southampton fans also  a lady behind who was ever worse I have never heard such vile abuse from a city fan in 35 years it got that bad my father turned around and told them to shut up they almost started on my  father , these fans were scum
