  1. Strange. Thought he looked excellent on the ball and was certainly bettter than Flint who got given the run around by the youngster they had up front. He was at fault for the first goal but we shouldn't have been playing a right sided player in that position anyway IMO - and to be fair, the pass was inch perfrect.
  2. Quality signing, the type this side has been missing for some time and I guess that spells the end of Fontaine.
  3. Pemberton out? 0% win rate as City manager, how anyone can last this long with our track record I don't know.
  4. Depends if the players are feeling better, poor things. If the day "drifts by without any work going into it" again then we could be in for a right hiding!!!
  5. Stunned to be honest and not sure how I feel about it. Reminds me a little bit of when John Ward went. We wait until there are signs of improvement and a couple decen results before sacking him. Lets hope it doesn't end up the same way. I was beginning to get fed up to be honest but was still hopeful it would work out. It wasn't the results or performances that were getting to me, it was the negativity I felt he was bringing. Team selections, constant concern about how good our opponents were, the limitations of our team and players......he was basically digging himself into a deeper hole.
  6. Not for me. A shiny new Stadium with all the added benefits would have been great and my preference but this is a very good "next best thing" IMO. I won't be at all disappointed if/when we re-develop Ashton Gate.
  7. Decent point that, Tranmere had been improving like us so was always going to be diffiuclt. I'm happy anyway!
  8. Big Sam eh? and who said anything about being "Cocky"? I agree with the OP. He is too arrogant to acknowledge a decent away performance by us. You are wrong about our manager too, he has already made positive comments about each of our opponents so far. Listen to the after match interviews. It's called respect. A decent bloke would have said credit where credits due, City defended well etc etc......You hear it most weeks from the more humble managers.
  9. However, he was happy to admit they robbed Brighton at their place the other week and "scored with our only real chance". Yet he went on to say what a brilliant away performance that was. It's just the usual case of tunnel vision, rose tinted glasses and the we are West Ham and deserve to win every game mentality. Typical allardyce, expect nothing else.
