  1. And this is how it all ended?:-
  2. Great win for Glos, by 6 wickets and with 4 overs to spare. ??
  3. Just felt the need to mention that Glos had another great late win today, having been in a great position with around 8 overs to go and then nearly chucking it away. Sussex needed 5 from 8 balls (or something like that) but with 9 wickets down, and risked a 2nd run which resulted in a run out. So we are still in the mix. Saw a good deal of the live stream, a cracking match whatever the result, but chuffed with the win!
  4. Great decision not to run on the 1st ball of that over. Seemed to be a few Glos fans in the crowd. I really thought the game was up with 5 overs to go. Good to see Bracey get 90 in 72.
  5. Just finished watching Glos with a last over win against Durham and Scarborough. Cracking innings from Jack Taylor to finish the match, 49 from 29 balls. Well done lads!
  6. A bit shellshocked as a Glos fan, but that was a stunning innings!
  7. Yes, let's hope they don't drop the coverage half way through as it hasn't got the right title. Got Sky Sports but would rather watch this out in the garden and cool down a bit! Glos looking good at the moment, that was a bizarre hit wicket!
  8. Crazy stuff, Middlesex went from 241-4 to 255 all out, and yes, I stopped watching the stream when they were 4 down 'cos I thought it was petering out into a draw! Well done lads.
  9. I would think this was because he was called up to the England squad at the beginning of the delayed 2020 season and had to remain in the England bubble at both Southampton and Manchester, effectively missing all of last season's domestic cricket. He also seemed to get noticed by the England selectors really quickly after his Glos breakthrough, lets hope that eventually pays off for all concerned. On another Gloucestershire/England related issue, big congratulation to David Payne on his call up to the England ODI squad, albeit under unusual circumstances. Now he is a player who has done the hard yards around the county circuit, and hoping he fares better than JB if called up.
  10. England needing 167 to beat Sri Lanka, who again batted poorly, this time at Bristol. Weather looking a bit ominous though!! I live less than 2 miles from the ground, we had a heavy shower here at about 11.00am, but they had sunshine thoughout that period at the County Ground.
  11. Glos form over the last two nights has been poor. 2 defeats in games that were never really that close, even though taken to the last over. One thing that can usually be relied on is a great team spirit and a look of togetherness. The last 2 nights (Somerset home and Hampshire away) they have looked out of sorts, poor body language and a bit of an air of "not really bothered". A bit worrying....
  12. Playing against Conway, be it New Zealand or Somerset, seems to spook him. Then he drops him in the first over. I would not normally say that one missed chance would be that crucial with what really was a comforable win, as plenty more batsmen could come in and make those runs, but it seems Somerset really were light on batting. As for Glos, we should be looking at winning our next 2 (Hants and Middlesex are in the bottom 2) and hope that takes us nearly over the line.
  13. Bracey's confidence is shot since his England call up, terrible drop.
  14. Below par score, but quietly confident that we can defend it with our current bowling form. That last missed run out could be vital!
  15. Same match report as last night. Just insert "Sussex" for "Glamorgan". Go Glos!
  16. Cracking win for Glos against Glamorgan tonight, now top of the South Group?. Glenn Phillips scored an explosive 94 not out.
  17. That was an incredible win for Glos, well done lads.
  18. Well played Glos, won by 8 wickets.
  19. Players back out in bright sunshine, 29 needed. Brilliant 100 from Van Buuren.
  20. ? The commentators were right about the weather...typical!
  21. Yes, watching it on the live stream, wishing I was watching from one of the flats. Van Buuren is showing a lot of aggression, lets hope that is the right tactic (seems to have works so far).
  22. Glos needing 101 with 8 wickets in hand. All looking good, Van Buuren and Dent well set. What could possibly go wrong? Well the commentators are convinced that bad light could be an issue!
  23. Would definitely go, voted as non STH as had not bought one, but would have bought it by the start of the season if things had been "normal". I am pretty confident I could negotiate my way to ground and around it, probably safer than going to Tesco the pub etc. I am mid 60s, not the thinnest or fittest chap in the world, but I would love to go. Only trouble is I will be on holiday in Turkey for the SW game. I also totally appreciate that many people would not fancy going for reasons given.
  24. 6 wins in a row in the T/20 Blast for Glos, just watched the live stream of them thumping the Birmingham Bears yet again!
  25. Yes, as a Glos fan really enjoying watching this one - just as i write this Somerset hit a six and a four!
