Weston-super-Mare AFC are delighted to announce more details about Bristol City legend Ray Cashley’s testimonial, with tickets on sale now. https://www.tickettailor.com/events/wsmafc/707652/ The event will see a Bristol City XI take on a Weston-super-Mare XI at the Optima Stadium, with a 3pm kick-off time. After the match, you can attend ‘An evening with Ray & guests’ where you will receive a one-course meal and watch an exclusive Q&A with Ray and some special guests. Oli Bliss, Managing Director at Weston-super-Mare AFC, said: “I have known Ray for as long as I can remember. “Ray joined Weston-super-Mare with my Dad (Paul Bliss) in 1986 as a player – Everyone knows what a good player he was, playing at the top flight with Bristol City. “When his footballing career came to an end, he was looking for a new career and my Dad offered him our lottery and later on our striker draw collections. “Ray has worked for the club ever since and has collected over £1 million over the 36 years he has been with us. “He is such an easy man to work with. He just carries on with his work without any fuss. He is so reliable and is so down to earth. “There are many times that people have asked me is that Ray Cashley because they see Ray as their hero from his Bristol City days. It is great to see these people then asking Ray about his career and Ray is always so happy to talk to anyone. “He is not quite as fit as he used to be but he still managed to show us what he could do in goal at the age of 64 when he played in my Dad’s testimonial in 2016. He was able to save a penalty and get straight back up for the rebound! “It is an honour for the club and our family to be able to organise this testimonial for Ray along with the support of Bristol City. He fully deserves it.” MATCHDAY ADMISSION PRICES £10 – Adult £5 – Under 16s £25 – Matchday admission & ‘An evening with Ray & guests + 1 x course meal CONFIRMED PLAYERS Weston-super-Mare AFC XI Matt Lazenby Paul Elson Bristol City XI Tommy Docherty Rob Edwards Joe Burrell Colin Cram Louis Carey Clayton Fortune Damien Spencer Steve Phillips Jamie McAllister Gary Owers With more players to be announced..

Good luck for those supporters of Wednesdays game getting tickets for Sunday That is one heck of a turnaround in short time -
Only reason I ask I would assume the SC&T can only ask for an update, if the club were funding etc
-
To the best of my knowledge he never posted on here
-
I must admit I'd never realised before and not sure who the guy was that was commentating at the time but he wasn't aware of it either
-
Probably one for Jerry rather than the SC&T to look into
-
Was that the football club or the SC&T?
-
I reckon they're drunk
-
On commentary they mentioned that both get recorded as taking the catch
-
You can send a question via the email above, and the item will get added to AOB

Hearing strong rumours that The boss is very close to being signed for next year

I'd guess the SAG aren't involved away from football?

As we're all football fans, I just wanted to throw something random into this thread, a good friend of mine was working at the ground yesterday as security From my social media this morning it looks like everyone was either at the killers or Ed Sheeran last night. Glad everyone had a fantastic evening
-
Was she out of contract this summer or is this an additional year on a previous deal?
-
@shahanshahanthese were the tickets I mentioned on twitter

I agree, he wont be risking not getting in a world cup squad. He'll be staying with us, which will help all parties - potentially add ££ to his value and puts him in the shop window
