Have lost touch with non league / Amateur/ parks football over the last 10 - 15 years but by reading otib it seems like quite a lot of city fans seem to follow Bristol Manor Farm as there 2nd/local team ( hopefully the farmyarmy the ones who dressed up arnt city fans )
As for Frome remember going there years ago in a game and I’m sure they all go to the same Barbers
when I was a young un I use to follow a amateur team round called Portway Bristol when I wasn’t playing or city weren’t playing ( lived close by ) use to go to some of the little Towns where they play and god there was some strange people in these places , went to Chard god almighty what a culture shock that was , Ottery st Mary wow Elmore up in Gloucestershire all I can say is there was some characters in and around the teams and clubhouse .
Did they play their home games up Penpole Lane?

A lot of the ladies are too good for the Championship, but most are not quite good enough for the WSL. Take Abi Harrison for example. Tore the Championship a new one last season, yet this season (albeit with a number of injuries) just hasn't performed to the same standard. Probably due to being constantly played as a midfielder as Smith insisted on carrying on with the 1 up top approach.
As long as the core of this team is kept together, three or four quality additions should mean that they are at least competitive next season. There will also be the chance for the younger ladies (Mari Ward, Fearne Slocombe) to get some serious game time, and the experience that comes with it.
There's also no reason why the club can't look for the best talents in the Championship (a bit like Cotts did in League 1), there are some definite diamonds to be picked up. Jamie-Lee Napier came from London City, and was a good fit for the team in the WSL.
Lastly, no more over-the-hill journey women! Take Lisa Evans. Yes, she has a lot of experience (100ish games for Bayern and Arsenal) but she has done next to nothing since being signed in January, there was obviously a reason why West Ham let her join their closest relegation rivals! If older players must be signed, more in the mould of Rachel Furness please!

Coming originally from that area it’s a shame the football club / players don’t really support the club ( social ) in massive decline , there may be politics involved I don’t know as I don’t live in that area anymore basically I think players staff turn up play and go home ( what I’m told be someone who watches them .
when I use to watch them as a kid / yoof aswell it was very much play and use the club’s facilities bar etc but I understand things have changed at amateur level , shame reallyim talking about manor farm by the way
As someone who is also from the area, grew up watching Manor Farm and can remember going on to the pitch at half time for a kick about in the goals - can't imagine that happening now! I now live even closer to The Creek (about 200 metres) yet never hear anything locally about upcoming games, apart from the odd post on Facebook. Get more noise at the moment about Avonmouth, who have just had a second successive promotion.

I'm sure every game I've seen Yanez play this season she's gone down injured with a glute injury
That friggin band are back in the ground again, fortunately the sky mics do not pick them up as much
I'm watching from home today, my daughters not feeling too great and chose to play this morning instead.
Unfortunately for me, the Sky mics are picking up that bloody group of drummers, and even at home, I'm actually losing the will to live!

Think that's Zach Bell, not Sam.
Stupid FlashScores, said it was Sam Bell! And it looks like it was Raph Aroye that scored the OG!
Mods, delete the topic please!

Good 3-1 win for the U21s today, interesting to see that Sam Bell had a run out (although he did score an OG). Is he likely to see any first team minutes in the last couple of games this season?

That irritating band are playing rand shit during the game again
What's the obsession with having them at the games so often?
If you mean the drummers, I had the misfortune to sit in front of them at the recent game against Spurs. They bring absolutely nothing to the match day experience.

Me and my kids have been to a few games, they just havent got the squad to be competitive.
That's because, just like with the mens team, they were let down massively in both summer and January transfer windows. Had a couple of decent acquisitions been made, they could have had the extra couple of wins, and a couple of draws that would see them not rooted to the foot of the table. Couple that with Lauren Smith's insistence on playing players out of position, refusal to move from playing 1 up front (apart from giving Shania Hayles, the best finisher at the club, the last 5 minutes of the occasional game) and like for like, rather than tactical, substitutions (where have I seen that before?!). A massive opportunity missed.

Poor old Dave. But he is used to being drowned out!
City Women bless them look doomed. What are their attendances like?
Average is just under 7.4k, 5th behind Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U and Man C.

I’m going to show my age here, but does anyone remember in the 90s the club put four or five options for kits out in the Evening Post, and one of them was red and white halves on the shirt?
It also had red and white half and half shorts, so ended up looking like red and white quarters. It was 1992, and my 12 year old self wrote in to Four Four Two to complain about it, and rhe fact it made the kit look like a red version of the gas kit, letter was published and I was told to calm down and have a cup of tea by the editor!

If by ‘always’ you mean once every 10 games then I wholeheartedly agree.
If there were an award for worlds most likely player not to turn up when you need him, he’d only lose out in the final to Callum O’Dowda.
Probably wouldn't turn up for the final though.

Being left footed on the right wing hasn't done Bukayo Saka any harm! He's another that I could watch all day, every day.

I was at this game, had a trip to Halfords at Cribbs in the morning to pick up my new air horn, turned up to the game with my binbag full of ripped paper for the ticker-tape. Sat behind the goal in the East End and have a vague memory of Tins scoring a beauty direct from a free-kick in the first half, only for it to be disallowed. Can anyone confirm this?

City Women defender Brooke Aspin had holes in her socks a few weeks ago. And was caught on video...
Brooke Aspin has always had the holes cut in her socks, although I've never seen any player, male or female, that takes it to the extremes that she does!

Prem quality teams like this will embarrass us. That's why we aren't in the prem yet. New manager, old squad. Seasons a write off this year.
Prem quality teams such as West Ham?

Haven't seen him since he had his burger stall outside of Selco in Bemmy
Used to make a rather nice sausage and bacon roll, always had to have one when stopping in to Selco (while the office rang our office to sort out our credit limit normally!). Was his name Martin or am I getting confused?

Oh you'd better believe Jon is sketching up some ideas on his tablet as we speak
The crayons might make a bit of a mess of the screen, probably better using the back of a roll of leftover wallpaper.

According to Wiki he only played 4 games on loan, hardly a flogging!
