  1. If you mean the cousin, I believe he was, although at the time Ian was playing for Blackburn (and winning the title) so I seem to remember seeing the blue and white halves rather than the jesters outfit on non-uniform days!
  2. He has, I went to school with a cousin of his.
  3. Apparently installing heat pipes for the new Bedminster Green development.
  4. The new man will be Watfords 6th manager in 16 months. That means that a Watford manager has a job expectancy of 2.66 months!
  5. Try comparing Fulhams starting lineup last with with their starting lineup this week.
  6. Took the wife and middle daughter to the City Womens game against Lewes on Sunday (FA Cup 3rd round so equivalent of the Fulham game). £5 for adults, £1 for u19s. Parking was £3. Even stretching to a tea and a couple of hot chocolates at half time meant that it only cost me £21 for all three of us, and we got to see a great game with 5 unanswered goals for City. Last game I watched at the Gate qas the Fulham match before lockdown (it was my 40th and I got a free ticket). Since then I have seen a number of City Womens games at the HPC as it is priced well and you're almost guaranteed a good game, plus my girls like to be able to go down to pitch side at the end of the match, chat to the players (they refer to them by their first name rather than their surname which I find odd) and get photos and autographs. Something that just wouldn't happen at the Gate for the mens team. They have got the pricing of this game all wrong, I don't see how they can justify charging over £20 for a game, right at the end of everyone's most expensive time of the year, and when we play the same team in the league a matter of days later. Had they charged £20 with free entry for accompanied kids for example, or say £15/£16 with kids for £1 I may have gone along, but at these prices I think I'll stick to the Womens team for now. And can I just add, if you haven't taken the opportunity to watch the Vixens yet, I can highly recommend it!
  7. I'm pretty confident I wouldn't be able to spell it either. What a coincidence!
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong Graham, but wasn't Akinbiyi also our record transfer received (£3.75m?) until Kodjia was sold to Villa?
  9. You can just about see that we easily filled half the stadium by my avatar!
  10. He certainly has form for being able to keep the ball - granted this is from 5 years ago so only 12 or 13, but you can see his talent on the ball. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKwF4DUAwdT/?utm_medium=copy_link
  11. I was at the last game vs Sheffield United, and there were a couple of blokes sat behind me discussing Aspin. From what I heard, she was offered a contract to join Chelsea in the summer, but her Dad (a big City fan by all accounts) convinced her to stay at City as she would be better off getting gametime in a good 2nd Div team than back I Chelsea's academy/reserves. I'm not certain he expected her to get this much gametime or to play this well though! If a team like Chelsea are after her though it just shows what a player she is.
  12. My daughter plays in goal at u-14 level, I have finally managed to get it through to her that if the ball goes out for a corner she is to leave it and let the opposition go and pick it out of the trees/brambles/stingers so that her team have time to get back and reset!
  13. And we only needed a point to pip Watford to the title. Awful, awful game!
  14. Confirmation that WRDC have lodged an appeal citing the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic caused them to have to enter administration. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58868575
  15. Don't forget Agent Akinde on 20 Feb - scored a brace and missed a penalty!
  16. Just saw this on Facebook, love it when ex-players are obviously still fond of the club, and even more so when they have a dig at the blue few!
  17. I think this would work better on bruschetta with maybe a sprinkling of dill.
  18. Last time that Bristol went up, if memory serves me correctly, didn't they have a similar start? I think that once the Autumn internationals, and then the 6 nations start, Bristol could start to climb the table, as most other teams will have lots of international players out
