  1. Trouble is, there is no real competition for O'leary. Never felt confident with him since he's become no.1 .
  2. Laughable comments about Roberts when we played Oxford. He;s looked totally out of his depth everytime he;s come on in games.
  3. The midfield have gone stale and should have been changed after the Leicester game. TGH should be playing in his preferred position , but we know Pearsons record of playing players out of position. T
  4. He may be a decent player in time, but it is a pointless bring Yeboah on in games at the moment.
  5. It's time for him to have a run in midfield, as at Leicester last week he was the only one to show any sort of thrust going forward and this could take the pressure off knight. But we know how stubborn Pearson can be with his selections.
  6. Time to give TGH a run in midfield, only one looking positive on the ball
  7. Changes everywhere except where they need it, in midfield. TGH should be replacing James or Williams.
  8. HTV news did a feature on it the next evening filming Cashley attempting to repeat the feat. With no gale force wind behind him he got nowhere near it.
  9. You can't mistake Mr. Vokes as we look on the right and possibly Mr. Edwards ( Headmaster ) in the middle.
  10. Happy memories of Mr. Vokes, real old school and the type of teacher sadly missed today. He would have been 3 years ahead of me but i'm pretty sure i remember seeing Gareth Chilcott play in goal for SS simply because he almost filled half the goal because of his size even then.
  11. I know she wants England to win, but the analyser on commentary has to be the most biased i've ever heard. Embarassing at times.
  12. **** me, almost suicidal watching that and the other 97 minutes weren't much better !
  13. Lets hope this bus will be reversing fairly quickly ! This start of season feels so very different, doesn't it? A renewed sense of purpose is running through Bristol Rovers. I can certainly feel it as well in the positive vibes from many on gas chat. The prospect of glory, promotion and possibly champions is certainly worth thinking about. Our squad, strengthened seemingly every week, have returned to the training pitch with a fire in their bellies that's unmistakable as seen in our recent performances. Joey Barton's passion is infectious and clearly attracts top players. We can be confident about the future. There's an aura of determination and unity around this club that's the hallmark of any footballing success. A winning culture is being forged, and for those of us who've stood by Rovers through thick and thin, this feeling is as precious as silverware. The whispers of hope are growing louder, not only within the stands but within gaschat. Our Dreams, long held in check, are converging with the reality of what our club can achieve. No longer looking down but looking up to the future. Joey Barton has nurtured a spirit that is seen in of champions, and our style of play is imbued with the same energy, the same hunger that defined the great teams of yesteryears. This season, the road to promotion is in front of us. The bus is here, as it has been since 2011, ever hopeful, waiting for us to climb aboard and carve our name in the annals of Bristol Rovers football history. For me, I am daring to dream of the unattainable - To be Champions - the ground-breaking goal. Like everyone, I’ll take promotion in anyway. With the right mindset and the talent in our squad anything is possible. The bus is ready to ride again.
  14. And more alarmingly for them, Brown missing too !
  15. He definately did and was, including that famous night at Coventry through the awful crackly phone reception on the radio.
  16. I can only remember Herbie Gillam reporting on City games with his regular phrase "They're holding their own" !
  17. Kellys Heroes, Titfield Thunderbolt. Battle of Britain
  18. We are a pretty poor team these days but thankful that i can still live off the great one day memories of the late 90's and early noughties when we were virtually untouchable. Even in your days of Botham, Richards and Garner i've always regarded Somerset as one of the great underachievers. They are entertaining to watch but still can't lose that nearly team tag.
  19. Makes a difference when they can't play in their toytown ground................i can enjoy the final now.
  20. it amazes me the number of saveable shots that goalkeepers are incapable of holding on to.
