  1. At first I thought I'd be pissed off. But then I realised it would be the most "us" thing ever.

Then I started to realise that we haven't actually been as high in the league as we were under LJ. To think, we were annoyed that we were knocking on the door of the playoffs but not getting in?!

Edit: to clarify, I definitely think it would be a super dumb idea

  2. Have just stuck a bet on them to go down, not even that great odds!

Looking at their fixtures just can't see where the next win would come from, and the squad they have is not really the sort of squad you want for a relegation scrap.

No-one was thrown under the Bus, Bell was given a game in the wrong position. In a position he struggled in last time out , and while I think he's a decent player, he's not a WB/FB. I don't understand why you play a striker at FB when you have an experienced one on the books. I don't care if you think you made a mistake giving him a contract, just play round pegs in round holes FFS. Poor kid looked lost, just like he did last time, it's not fair on him.
If the team is firing, may be. But we're not, good players are struggling, so someone making his way in the game in an unknown position is bound to find it hard.

I don't understand what Nige is trying to do today.

Agree entirely, it really winds me up. Pearson has talked plenty, particularly last season, about how the conditions have to be right to play youth players, and they should be able to play without pressure. Instead, he's now twice played a youth player out of position in a team that's not exactly a positive environment at the moment. We have Danny Simpson available, or just play Dasilva at RB? It's so bizarre.

Okay it worked with Alex Scott at RWB, but he's an outlier. And that also gives you another player we could have put there over Bell.

  4. I've always been a fan of Pearson and his personality; especially at our club where it's been needed for a long time. I think I still trust him in the long term to be one of the best we could have picked for our rebuild; we just have to accept that it will be slow going, especially with the financial situation. The two windows he's had so far he's been pretty hand-tied and the main objective has been offloading; which he's started to do.

If we're still in this position this time next year then he'll have to go obviously; but I'd hope this summer will be very busy with both outs and ins.

On the other hand I am starting to worry that I like the idea of Pearson more than the reality of Pearson. There's a small part of me that wonders if he's simply past it?
