  1. Not a chance I’ll be showing up next Saturday.
  2. Maybe because the OS won’t provide the answer?? Anyone who travels away will know that the OS doesn’t keep a rolling tally of tickets sold and the ticketing website is unreliable as they’re sold in batches. Only people at the club in the ticketing office will know, hence the thread asking if anyone has any idea.
  3. Still going but don’t even think about getting something on draft and stick to the cans as all the regulars do ?
  4. Really? I rarely went in the Black Cat but have been in the London Inn and Tap and Barrel countless times with various different mates and never once heard anyone describe them as being tense or made to feel unwelcome. Brilliant pubs.
  5. Their manager decided to make 8 changes, the side they had out was shocking.
  6. There was barely anyone on them because they were put on at very short notice and neither the club nor the police bothered to mention it.
  7. I’d almost erased this from memory, what a terrible period of time that was. Half of this forum also wanted it to remain a permanent thing forever, how silly they must feel now.
  8. Very good shout that. We were in the same spoons in Newport last season though and there weren’t many other city fans in there, there were no issues or trouble so not sure what their problem was this time. I’m surprised that one in Cardiff didn’t have bouncers on the doors as well.
  9. Exactly this. Cardiff smashed up the toilets in the ground last season causing thousands of pounds of damage yet still get a free roam of Bristol. Meanwhile we were even denied entry to a Wetherspoons in Newport last weekend who had 2 bouncers on the door from 8am ready for us, luckily another pub was open at 9am that did let us in. If Avon and Somerset treated the Welsh how we get it off the Heddlu year on year they would be crying their eyes out about it being anti-Welsh xenophobia, and no doubt it would be all over “Wales Online”.
  10. Another great photo of Cardiff fans in full embrace of red here, more than just a few scarves: . In the past they’ve hilariously tried to claim this was a Wales game, we can see the black shorts…
  11. Unfortunately, to the club Downsy is viewed as unsackable. It doesn’t matter what he does wrong, he is here to stay. Hopefully the Qatari’s will send him a big pay cheque to do some more DJ’ing out there. Despite what he might claim on social media, his morals will quickly all go out the window again.
  12. Wade Elliott/Wilbraham great examples for us in recent years as well
  13. Just over 1k sold according to Jerry, so about half left but still a very good effort so far.
  14. If a fan had made those remarks they would have a criminal record and a likely lifetime ban from attending football matches. How do people within the game get off so lightly?
  15. You can view full screen
  16. That would just seem completely baffling to me if true, just looking at the stands it seems as if there’s barely a difference in gradient between the two. You only have to look at Dortmund’s yellow wall, one of the steepest stands in Europe, who manage 25,000 in there without any issues whatsoever.
  17. Today proved that there is far more demand for standing areas than the club are currently willing to accommodate. 1000 seats shoved away in a corner doesn’t cut it. If the club had any sense, or desire to generate atmosphere at Ashton Gate the entirety of block A would be turned into safe standing, along with the current corner, which would avoid all of the issues today with people having to stand on the stairs and unable to get to their seats. Anyone who currently has a season ticket in block A (not many at all, 100 max), could easily be reallocated to another Dolman block should they wish to do so. It could be done for next season but unfortunately I think this is the exact thing the club will be desperate to stamp out.
  18. He’s been a central defender for about 1.5 seasons if you include this one, and he’s now 30 years old. In his first season at Luton he played predominantly as a left back or left midfielder, occasionally at centre back. Last season he played centre back consistently for the first time in his career, though it is worth pointing out that this was always on the left side of a back 3, where he is familiar, in the same way that Luke Ayling is not a centre back but played as a right sided centre back in a 3 under Cotterill, and was successful. At Wigan he played nearly always as a left back/winger/midfielder with the occasional game at centre back. At Pompey and earlier he was usually on the wings. This season he’s played nearly every game centrally in the back 3 and has been consistently poor and full of errors. Much of the blame has to go to Pearson who continues to persist with him here, but it doesn’t take away from the fact he has been far, far worse than anything he showed at Luton last season.
  19. This is the issue with Naismith. People regularly say he had a decent game and the only thing that backs that up is that he did a couple of nice passes or corners. He also shanked one out 40 yards across the pitch for a West Brom throw in when we had a free kick near the halfway line, and he was at fault for the second goal after once again, for what seems like the millionth time this season, messing about with it and getting caught out. He’s more of a left back then a centre half, though I wouldn’t have him anywhere near the starting 11. Has made more mistakes than anyone this season and that’s with a couple of months out injured.
  20. It’s alright he’s making it all back by charging Preston fans £33 this weekend.
  21. Cost us a point at least against Sunderland, cost us all 3 at Blackpool and then could easily have cost us all 3 tonight. On another day or against a more potent attack he would have. Generally plays well with plenty of good moments and then throws it all away with baffling decision making in the worst areas of the pitch and under little pressure. Even after the disaster on Saturday he was keen on messing about with it again tonight which is worrying. Needs to cut it out sharpish or like others have said, patience will start wearing thin.
  22. Which is why palace sound like the loudest team in Europe every time they play on Sky, because Sky have a very odd obsession with them and shove all the microphones bang in front of the 100 blokes that sing generic awful songs for 90 mins. In reality 99% of the people in that selhurst home crowd don’t open their mouths for the entirety and the atmosphere doesn’t actually exist. Was good today but part of the reason is due to Sky keeping all microphones away from the s82 corner due to swearing in the past. I can’t really comment on other stands as it’s hard to gauge sometimes, but it was definitely lively in the corner today.
  23. Why is there an assumption that next season the squad will be any better? Yes we will have the benefit of some of the deadweight being (hopefully) offloaded, but we might also lose Semenyo, Scott and Massengo to big money sales. That money is unlikely to be allowed to be reinvested as it will be instead used to help alleviate the financial mess we are currently in.
