I find this a but odd. Did you ever frequent the Swan? There were about 15 of us who were in there most nights. We would all meet up together before games, over the years pubs changed. Some of us would always be at away games, usually hiring a mini bus, or if needed a Luton van. There was also Hacker's coaches. I'm sure many old boys remember Paul. Yes there were a number of Rovers supporters around. But most of them haven't been since Eastville. Whereas myself and all my old mates still go.

Went to The Vetch for a night match in the relagation season, 1980. We were stood a few rows back in one of their odd stands. A mate was innocently leaning on a fence next to the touchline. A ball went out of play infront of my mate, James comes over and without any provocation said "**** off you English b*stard". My mate was too stunned to reply.

From memory I think he scored in 5 consecutive games for us. An unimaginative editor kept using the headline "In- Spiring"

Yes I was there, East End behind the goal. Had to get to the King's Arms Whiteladies Rd after for skittles. Had to on anchor, never enjoyed that.
