  1. Supposed to be top 6 though aren’t we? It hasn’t taken him long to backtrack on his very shortsighted previous comments of top 6. Ambitious or naïve?
  2. Nowhere near a top 6 squad. it’s easier to see us battling at the bottom than anywhere near the top 6. People saying we can compete are delusional. Yeah we work hard, but isn’t that the requirement for every team, every week in every league? The people at the top got rid of the one person who was making progress here. Just because he wasn’t a yes man and had his own ideas. Sad state of affairs at City now and I can only see this ending in tears. Just a real shame that the people running this club have no football knowledge or awareness at all.
  3. Are people starting to realise Bristol City just aren’t very good? Liam Manning isn’t very good either.
  4. We are a team aiming for promotion according to the ‘Chairman’. Any promotion team would need to be winning 4 of these games. Any less than 12 points would be a failure. Jon Lansdown does not understand that we are a mid-table side at best. Odious man.
  5. Nice copy and paste job there from Lansdown. The only thing he needs to change is the name. No personal touch. A big F off. Can’t stand the Lansdown regime.
  6. Really? A load more money, better facilities, more exposure. If he gets sacked then he makes a mint. Win win for him. Not ballsy at all.
  7. Not really. I haven’t suggested any established premier or championship managers. We had one of those and he was wrongly sacked. You can’t argue that this appointment fits the yes man criteria, the lansdowns need. Anybody who has their own voice, or challenges their leadership, they don’t know how to deal with.
  8. Another yes man, who will be ever grateful to the regime and won’t argue with the interference from people who know absolutely nothing about football. Litter.
  9. Listened to it yesterday. Loved hearing about his respect for Tinnion, Murray, Carey etc. Brooker sounds like a complete ***** off the pitch. I recommend listening to the Steven Caulker one as well. That guy has had some demons. Unbelievable how he managed to stay in football as long as he did with his lifestyle.
  10. Yeah of course I understand what you mean mate. I was being facetious.
  11. Bad day at the office sure, but they aren’t as fragile as city.
  12. Surely there isn’t a more fragile team than Bristol City?
  13. Even if their capacity was the same as ours, we wouldn’t take 3,400. Their away support is just better.
  14. I’d be amazed if City finished 13th. The players brought in are decent enough, but not a huge upgrade on quality. The players gone have left a huge hole. If there are no further ins and outs, I’d be looking at 17th or 18th. City look far weaker this season already. Reliance on Conway returning, which isn’t until December is a shambles of a decision. Half of the season is gone by then.
  15. The only time Lansdown will back a manager is when they aren't ‘difficult’. It’s almost like he rewards them for not being demanding. Lansdown ruined this club for years by giving his mate Johnson, and Johnson’s mate Ashton an obscene amount of money and control. This decision landed us in the brown stuff. A time when he lost focus to a worrying extent. Difficult to understand from such a savvy businessman. From a basket case of a club, Pearson has rolled his sleeves up and got rid of a lot of litter. The wage bill has reduced, the playing staff are younger and hungrier and the style of play has slowly improved over his tenure. Like everybody else, I am not in the know and have no ‘insight’ into the finances of the club. Surely, there is some money available for Pearson to improve this squad? Surely there are attainable targets out there? It would be very ‘Lansdown’ to not back Pearson financially as Pearson is his own man and knows what he wants. Why is it when Lansdown is seemingly ‘challenged’ slightly, he fails to amend his previous poor decision making and back the right man. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  16. Not really. The post I replied to was completely one-sided. Absolutely no balance whatsoever. I don’t share the same viewpoint that Lansdown is not to be criticised.
  17. I forgot everything was bright, shiny and wonderful for city with Lansdown at the helm.
  18. Hi John, thanks for your input. Don’t worry you will be handed the club at some point.
  19. City HAVE to strengthen now. Scott gone, and Conway out for upwards of 3 months. Easily 2 of the most talented players at the club. I’m unsure of who there is out there but if there are no more incomings, it may be another mediocre season.
