  1. Its crazy how much we changed when he arrived, his goal vs Mk Dons was my favourite
  2. Best signing surely has to be Matty Taylor, the pure wind up of it
  3. Wow how refreshing, they don't seem bitter at all ?
  4. You'd think people who have better stuff to do would not post stuff like that. But when they do, It means they really don't have anything better to do... It gives me some peace of mind I'm nothing like that ?
  5. He has an increasingly bright future, but i still think it's a bit of a strange purchase for them in their position. I don't think he'll make any immediate effect for them in the prem. If they go down i'm sure he'll be a great asset to head back up. But surely their main january business is to ensure their survival?
  6. But that's quite literally my point, he saved us crucial and rare points when we were plummeting, with his hands.... I worry to think how much worse it could've been if we didn't have a decent shot stopper under Holden. He was one of the small number that season who weren't shambles. The amount of shots/crosses he faced was ridiculous. I dont think there's anything wrong with showing appreciation for a player who's left. You sound bitter over it.
  7. I remember a few times he did great last minute saves to secure us some of those rare points that season, which were crucial near the end. "We were dropping like a stone" is pretty harsh to put that on his door considering the amount of shite he had infront of him
  8. Always rated him, knew he was destined for city
  9. Strange how he was great all the way upto NP was appointed, wonder if he didn't get on with the coaching or something. Started making a fair few mistakes. I remember Bentley bailed us out loads during Holden era. Imagine he was an above average earner here, could open the door for a loan before the window closes
  10. I think 10m was a fair price, hopefully we don't regret that one and Semenyo can continue to be professional and play on
  11. That is great to hear, but I remember hearing similar comments when there was interest in Kodjia just before he was sold. Tho these words could just be playing chess, "pay up or f off" because we really don't want to sell
  12. Probably the most recent would be Aden Flint and Bobby Reid leaving. Flint played a role in an exciting chapter, just felt like it was ending around then when he left. Doesn’t seem like we’ve had many characters recently. Bobby Reid had an exciting style of play which was great to watch, enhanced most players around him. It’s weird because even though we’ve had better strikers on paper just before and after him, we still never played as good upfront when he was in the team. I haven’t been too bothered about other players leaving since them
  13. Huddersfield will probably overtake us, but Cardiff and Rotherham are pretty shiiite
  14. It's a curious thing, wonder if we went down with Nige would fans still want him in charge. Surely not
  15. There's definitely fans that are like that. But what if there's the opinion that Nige has been on the decline since 2014, and not as "proper manager" as we believe. I think it's valid, his record has been poor since, including here. I'm going to look at the opposite side of the leaf here, there's fans that repeat "just back the manager", I think after 90 games in charge now, we've backed enough, criticism is totally allowed. I bought into giving NP time to work on a project but imo we've passed that now, I think we've gotten worse on the pitch, completely lost some of the good momentum we had last season. If fans believe NP needs 3-4 years to sort us out, fair enough, but yikes. I think everyone knows it's a hard job for anyone, but probably is for most midtable-lower champ teams atm. I never buy into the "give the manager time to get his own team", how often does that happen in football? I remember hearing that during the LJ era, ruined us. Maybe my view is too black/white, but I'm just not happy with what I see on the pitch, I'm sure neither is nige. Really hope we can string some results together, and bloody soon. sorry @W-S-M Seagull went on a bit of an off rant from your post we all want whats best for city at the end of the day. Would love to eat humble pie tonight
  16. Does CEO wage count towards FFP?
  17. I'm not convinced myself, every penny matters at the moment when spending new. It's a 1 year contract signed in the summer (correct me if im wrong) and he's been out for most of it so far. His contract is surely to provide cover or even start in the first time as often as he could no? They might've known the potential risks and gambled, who knows. At the time his signing him made sense of course. That said, he could have his fitness again in a month or two and help out backline out ? we bloody need it
  18. It feels like 1 in 5 "aged" players in their careers work out for us. Ashley Williams was the last I remember, he was fantastic. Loved his reaction when we won at Cardiff
