With our recent history, I just hope to god we don’t consider signing him.
Eh?? What a ridiculous comment.

Can he play centre forward? The focal point of the three
Get the feeling he's the type who can play across the front three. Just what we need

This is why it's taking so long

My mate said the Cornick deal is done as is the O'Brien one. Until I read RoyDeAlien confirm it I won't believe it.
Might want to check your mates sources with O’Brien

Football insider saying we are now in advanced talks. Think we’ve been in advanced talks for about 3 weeks it seems

What bugs me is that if a deal is done just announce it. Don’t care for photo shoots or boring interviews holding up announcements.
If we were signing Lionel Messi I’d understand a bit of fanfare
Agreed. For all we know the deals could of been done 2 hours ago but they’re doing some silly photo shoot just announce it

A Luton fan on Twitter seems to think Cornick is having a medical with us this morning.
Link?

I'm not sure if I can see this one being done.
Can't see Luton wanting to play ball with us after how salty they got when Naismith joined us. Which was actually down to a lack of communication between their own manager and club rather than anything we or Naismith did.
I think their dislike of us goes back to the Tony Thorpe days.
He’s out of contract in the summer, they’re a little bit powerless really. Would be in their best interest if we put a bid in

Harsh on King who it seems has had a huge influence in his 18 months here.
Maybe harsh on king, certainly not the worst more experienced player bought in over the years, could of said Simpson instead!
but my original point still stands, from this signing to O’brien, linked with the Wimbledon player who’s 21 this is the policy we should be inheriting now and in the future. Long may it continue

Think this must mean Cornick deal is off
Not necessarily, we are quite light in forward areas with Weimann and Conway out injured so makes sense to bring in both

Cornick
O’Brien
Mehmeti
Currie
I make that 4. 3 young exciting players in that 4. Lovely. Get it done.
I'm not ITK but I get the feeling Currie is a long way from the other three. 3 out of 4 of them I would certainly take!

Seems like we're shifting our recruitment policy back to young up and coming players. Long gone of the days of Andy King and Henri Lansbury please

Not too excited by that as we’ve played them recently.
it’s probably not winnable, it’s not an away trip to a new ground, full house I guess so some money in maybe TV too.
You must be the life and soul of the party

I would love to know what their "ethos" is. Is it having a truly awful stance on domestic violence, is it harbouring a convicted criminal making him one of your own, giving him chants, banners, putting him on your merchandise.
Is it stealing a historical ground from another sporting team in Bristol purely for your own financial gain? Is it giving death threats to a player who single handily got you back to back promotions, being your best ever player in the last decade?
Please, Deluded Sag, what is your ethos? Your football clubs culture, beliefs and "ethos" is maybe aligned back in the 1970s, but not in todays ever progressing world.

We’re not very good at football are we

If that’s the quality in league one that’s tosh. Fair play to the gash for getting a point

Gash fans very poor.. most sitting haven’t heard a peep from them. Must be their day trippers there tonight..

Their fan base seems to be divided between the “God, we are awful - we are in deep doodoo this season” camp and “Remember last season, we started poorly and look how it ended”. Except they were in a much weaker division - if it’s shaping up to be a carbon copy of any season it’s 2020/21.
Top 6 with the exception of Derby has already shaped itself in league 1 it seems. They don’t have a championship standard player in league 2 against the likes of Harrogate and Sutton to bail them out.. they’re in the shit and it’s glorious
