  1. Another calamity bit of PR, it doesn't bother me in this instance as I have no firm plans for Easter weekend, but even so. It makes my blood boil that this kind of decision can be made at such short notice, with no regard for anyone that it concerns.
  2. Sigh, and so the point scoring begins...well done superfan! No one has ever, ever doubted his ability to single handedly get us points, especially against mediocre oppo. It's when we're up against it and need everyone gut-busting and finding that 110% that his attitude has been called into question. This sort of position should see him shine. Seeing as we all want to see us win and our players play well, let's ditch the in-bickering and hope we can make it into a real rout in the second half.
  3. Not sure what they're smoking. We haven't deserved 4 goals but we've has nearly 60% of possssion and 14 shots to their 5....
  4. This is true we have still looked shaky at the back. But a front three of JET, Baldock and Paterson looks good at Championship level let alone League One. Goes to show what a bit of confidence can do.
  5. Oh my. Can't remember the last time a City team were so roundly applauded off at half time. Or full time come to that.
  6. We've just conceded a shot on goal literally ten seconds after a corner. Passes the ball short but not to our own man and then allowed them to run the length of the pitch unchallenged
  7. Your guy that got sent off looked like a tricky little player before his moment of madness. He did look like a ticking time bomb though, niggling away throughout the first half with petty things.
  8. We did the second one didn't we! To be fair though JET certainly wasn't at his best today. No one had a bad game though. On another day we would have had 2 or 3, just one of those games!
  9. Not rocket science is it, round pegs in round holes! Nosworthy and Karleigh were excellent.
  10. Disappointing not to have capitalised on the extra man for so long. On another day could have scored 2 or 3 but just lacked that little bit of luck. Still, 10 points from the last 12 including a visit to Posh and just one defeat in eight. We'd have bitten someone's hand off to be offered that beforehand.
  11. You really do refuse to ever admit you could be possibly have been wrong don't you? You remind me of one of those politicians who adopts a ridiculous stance and then flogs it to death even though their argument has long crumbled around them, rather than admit they made an error of judgement. Do you stand by your statement that Baldock is an 'average league one striker', the words you used a couple of months back?
  12. Yep, anyone with half a brain can see that the issue is the number of goals conceded, and not a lack of goals scored. Better defending and we could easily have been pushing for the playoffs and not narrowly avoiding relegation. Sadly I can see us losing JET and Baldock in the summer, and we will struggle to score as freely as we have this year. Fingers crossed though. A strong finish to the season and we might be able to convince them to stay beyond the summer.
  13. Said it before and said it again, even the very best strikers miss good chances. SB could well finish on 25+, and for any of his earlier detractors to still be trying to defend their point is laughable. For a team who have been almost consistently relegation candidates all season to have the league's top scorer, finding 20 before mid-March is absolutely incredible, and the fact that he still gets stick beggars belief. His GOALS to SHOTS ratio is the same as Luis Suarez, in fact it's possibly better as the football league stats are a good 2 or 3 games out of date. I mean honestly, what more do you expect from a forward at this club?
  14. Never underestimate the power of the barnet (but not Tyrone because he's pants)
  15. This will be one hell of a result if we can do the unthinkable and hang on. It actually makes me sad reading this as I type, that we have fallen so far that we will consider a miraculous narrow win at Peterborough as possibly the best result of the year!
  16. It'll be amusing to hear Don Corleone trying to defend his ridiculous comments from a few weeks back
