I have visions of a press conference with some sort of fake sheik talking with an implausible middle eastern accent of his plans for Rovers, and then Scooby Doo style, Darryl running up and ripping of the disguise exclaiming 'Nick! It was you all along' followed by NH mumbling 'and I would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids!'

Lets face the truth here.. If this goes through then the UWE stadium will be built with the full 21,000 capacity and they could become a serious threat to us in no time. Hopefully this is the wake up call we need to get our own act together.
I seem to remember some 'serious investors' coming into City a few years ago, guaranteeing top flight football, a major trophy and European football within a certain time frame- I won't be holding my breath.

Jordanian- does this mean we are being taken over by a bunch of Katie Price lookalikes?

Genuine question, when is their next fixture against Sainsbury's?
I thought it was this month.
Those fixtures became meaningless some while ago, I certainly don't look forward to them any more!

Haha. Must be something in the water. Ignore me.
Too late! I saw your post , and then saw Bet365 offering 20/1 on the draw. Having had a drink and not thinking rationally, I thought I had discovered a glitch in the system (as if!) Anyway, my account is now £30 lighter :(

Is he "one of us", or a 15er ?
He's neither. I used to see him a lot at events when my lad was boxing, and although a lot of the names in local boxing are Gas, I think it's fair to say lee doesn't care one way or the oher.

It's a bit like marriage. You fall madly in love with someone, and commit yourself to them until death, and then after a few years they really annoy the **** out of you, but you still can't help but love them.

Actually thought he was a she.
Only on a Thursday night.

Yep it was embarrassing to see how some of our fans behaved at Birmingham when they scored and not just the pre pubescent "netters" either. Every support has them. Seriously, if it angers you so much when the opposition score maybe football isn't for you, let alone placing yourself next to the other teams fans.
Having said that, you don't often see the family matriarch leading the abuse. The gift....
Give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was just predicting that we would equalise and the final score would be 2-2.

Ummm.... Yes, but women and children, with such apparent gusto?
Stay classy Slags.
Yep, any ground you like. Depressing stuff, but hardly unique to our lot.

A day out for all the family at the club that just keeps on giving ...
I have never quite understood giving the '******' sign at the opposition when they score, like they really give a ****? Anyway, I daresay the same happened in the away end at Ipswich when the home side scored yesterday, and in the home end when City scored, and in the Chelsea end when Newcastle scored, and in the Newcastle end when Chelsea scored ad infinitum.

If they ever get the loudspeakers in the Blackthorn end working properly I'll be able to answer your question!
I think that's a ploy to stop anyone claiming the winnings on the 50/50. How many years haven't they been working properly!

Only on the OTIB forum could an amusing discussion about Rovers' ground problems develop into a political discussion on Euro problems! Keep up the good work and don't let the mods tell you to stick to football related subjects.
Can someone lend me some euros please

Exactly, given the track record of their board is anyone surprised that it looks like they have massively cocked up again?!
Utter shambles. So is there a genuine chance that this will put them in the brown stuff financially?
No, not even remotely.

Clearly he's up early in order to get to church early to cram in as many prayers as possible for tomorrow....
I was off to Sutton, now just looking forward to the news about our new stadium today, oh, hang on.

You just know that if This all goes in Rovers' favour, their retards/fans will be crowing about it in our direction as though we should somehow be envious!
Jealous are we?
-
My god! We didn't cock it up
There has obviously been some mistake, anyway COME ON GLOS!!!

Will head up that way later, hopefully there about 3pm
I'm the fat lad in the black Somerset shirt with red stripes on the sleaves
That's not going to help for identification purposes.

I'm guessing Trego and Allenby maybe? Very weak on the batting front tonight. Can't even throw in one of the Overtons as a pinch hitter first up as they are both at Durham.
Some people may say Somerset are getting their excuses in early

Somerset, la la la....
I thought the words were Somerset, ****, **** ****?

The undying pessimist within me makes me think that with all the hype of today, Morecambe are a very good bet at 9/2 for tomorrow.
