  1. I always had this little tickle in the back of my mind that Trump's insistence that his inauguration was the biggest ever, and he had the most crowds, reminded me of something, and I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. But now I realize where his delusion and blind belief comes from... he's actually a gashead.

Bizzarely, I think Rovers biggest hope of being 'top dog' in this aspect won't lie in any new stadium (which btw I will believe when I'm sat in it), but more in people turning their backs on the ridiculous pricing and increasingly sterile atmosphere in the top two divisions, and look for a cheaper/more nostalgic way to watch football.

But, wouldn't that imply that Rovers would never achieve more than their current table position, to stay out of the top 2 divisions?

But it takes about 90 minutes to play 80. Not as bad as American Football where a 60 minute lasts about 4 hours.

I never realized how slow a NFL game was until I started watching proper football. 2 minute warning means more like "only 15 minutes left"

  4. Due to the almost minute of delay that I experience, as it apparently takes that long for the game to get across the pond and then across the entire US of A...

As I'm mentally willing City to hang in there and finish the game out and simultaneously walking back in to my work area, I receive a text from a fellow City fan (in England) who lets me know that we've lost. As I'm reading his text, the commentary finally catches up to the delay, and I hear the goal. I confess I wanted to yell, scream at the top of my lungs, throw something, punch someone, possibly kick something... and yet I had to maintain a smile on my face and not show the immense amount of frustration built up inside of me.

Even an hour later, I am still wound up and unable to express anything.

  5. I'm lucky to get 1mb up here in the frozen north. The lag is insane, as I'll get fb messaged from a friend of mine in England that we've scored, but I won't hear it on player for at least a minute.

Since it's a 6am game for me, most of the time I just stay in bed and listen to the game on my iphone. Occasionally, I'll get up and read along on OTIB, which is certainly more entertaining than the match commentary.
