Bakinson has contributed far more, defensively and offensively, than James. Not criticising James but funny how certain player attract criticism.

I actually think he’s playing well

We have no pace and therefore zero outlets. Painful to watch.

Depressing line-up

I personally think Pearson is doing a good job. He’s got a limited squad to work with and I’ve been impressed with levels of commitment shown by the players on the whole (admittedly I wasn’t there today). It’s been a marked improvement from what I saw under Holden

Completely agree. Martin is also much fitter than Fam and will run (admittedly slowly) all day for us.

Where have you heard this?

I don’t expect us to dominate no, but I felt with that line-up we removed any possibility of really stamping our authority on the game. We set up to keep it tight and to try and nick something which allowed them to grow in confidence and therefore losing our home advantage. For us to win at home, I feel we need to believe in ourselves more and put teams on the back foot. IMO We can do that by playing with width and pace, Pring and Semenyo starting on either wing would be a good starting point. A midfield of James, King and Massengo is a great base for a dogged away win but not the ingredients to inspire a first home win in 9 months.

Disappointed by the negative line-up today. Loved it as a way to nullify Cardiff away but that’s not a line-up to dominate at home against an average side.

Legend. I never supported the bears until they moved to Aston Gate now I feel they are somehow apart of City and I’ve started watching all their games and supporting them fully. It’s almost made me become a rugby fan. Up the bears!

Surely making face masks mandatory while within the stadium would make more sense? Tough to police but much easier than trying to keep everyone silent
