  1. Let's try and address that a little.
  2. A very interesting question actually. They play very different roles and are very different players so it is hard to compare them directly. I guess my initial thoughts are that you have to set aside the raw goal numbers. If you don't then obviously Tammy wins every time. With goals aside I'd say that for a consistent number of high-level match-defining performances you go Tammy. However, if you're looking for singular great performances then Scott edges it. We've got the benefit with Tammy of knowing what he's gone on to do in the Premier League and Serie A, and for England. With Scott we're still talking about potential, however high that may be, it is possible it will go unfulfilled. I think ultimately I go Tammy.
  3. The right foot is generally reserved for your traction engine.
  4. Was good for us until the injury. Before people say he's had a short career - he's still managed 9 years and 287 games as a pro, so averaged 30 odd games in each of those seasons. 3 seasons in the top flight, one of which he played all 38 games. It's not the longest career but he's done well.
  5. Hey look I have no issue at all with players getting a good wedge of tickets for their families and friends. It's a huge night for them, for some it will be one of the biggest games they ever play in and they should be able to have their nearest and dearest in attendance.
  6. "No Rob, you have to click the link not the "Buy Tickets" button. Yes, I know its confusing. No, don't scroll all the way down...argh now you've put two tickets in. Right, step aside. I'll do it. Just give me your password. Jesus Rob, your birthday...really?"
  7. Huddersfield's last game is 8 May. 85 days away. Wonder how much he'll be paid for 85 days work.
  8. 13,300 at the start of the season, and about 300 of those are staff comp and others. Realistically it's about 13,000 paying ST holders. Did we really sell 2,700 half season tickets?
  9. If I could design it I'd have him get that 10th booking in the Cardiff game. Would mean he misses Huddersfield and Blackpool and is rested and back for Luton and the tough run in that we have.
  10. It means games. And it's 37 games. 32 is for the Premier League. Also, they're not "wiped", it's just that the automatic ban level shifts to the next one. In order to avoid a 2 match ban he has to stay out of the book for the next 7 matches. Seems unlikely to me.
  11. When he was appointed I assumed they'd resigned themselves to relegation and wanted to get a Championship manager in in order to prepare for next season down here with us. Turns out they genuinely thought he could keep them up.
  12. It's absolutely not what you posted earlier - the below is what you posted regarding trepidation. It's merely a statement, it has no supporting evidence or reasoning. We've then had a conversation and arrived - apparently in agreement - upon the absurd reasoning that clubs will come to us in a state of trepidation because they know we have vulnerabilities but have been utterly unable to identify them. Bizarre tbh.
  13. So the trepidation is generated by the frustration of knowing that we have vulnerabilities, but having an inability to identify them. Not sure I agree with that but you do you.
  14. In which case why would an opponent approach us any differently?
  15. They could check the court records to see if he has a history of (alleged) violence against opposition players or coaching staff.
  16. You could say that about all the fees though right? We haven't officially disclosed a fee in years. Even Kalas was announced as simply a "club record fee". Yeh I've heard the same rumours re Mehmeti. I also choose to believe his fee was closer to £1m than £5m as I don't think we were in a financial/FFP position to be spending £5m, but £1m was just about affordable.
  17. It's more like as above. But yeh, it's a cheap squad.
  18. None of this really means anything though does it? As for teams coming to AG with "trepidation". I suspect that actually they'll look at the numbers and the videos and they'll see that most teams get at least a dozen shots at our goal, that O'Leary is in form but is still prone to an error (like most goalkeepers), and they'll feel pretty confident of scoring at least once. Then they'll look at our attack and their goalkeeper will think "ok I've probably got to make just 2 or 3 saves today". If the defenders can stop the through balls and low crosses then there's not much else to worry about. We can be dangerous, but we're not battering teams, we're getting good draws and wins, but we are vulnerable, and other teams will know that.
  19. We're just about in the bottom third for shots against, shots on target against, goals against, xG against. All in terms of raw numbers and when adjusted to be per 90mins. We're not the worst, not the near worst, but we're in that group. I don't know when exactly it'll finish. And "mid table" doesn't mean 13th. It's anything between 9th and 15th as far as I'm concerned. I am not saying we are bad, I'm delighted and I said in the match day thread that I think yesterday was a game where we came of age. But we should keep our feet on the ground. We're incredibly unlikely to be a playoff team this season.
  20. Although yesterday was a fantastic win, and this 9 game unbeaten run is excellent in terms of results, there remain concerns, and there remain reasons we won't get into the play offs. Defensively we still allow opponents a large number of chances. However they tend to be lower quality, and O'Leary has played well. Combined that means we've been able to keep goals conceded fairly low. But - we are conceding. Just as we were never as bad as some thought we were in the autumn, we're not as good as some think we are now. Expect the run to finish fairly soon, and for us to then go through the remainder of the season with a fairly typical mix of wins, draws and losses, ultimately finishing in mid table.
  21. We'd all hate him if he played against us.
  22. At the moment when Cornick comes on for Wells we lose a bit of energy up front I think. Cornick presses but he doesn't make the same runs that Wells does. It's early days though - I'd like to make it very clear that I am not writing him off!
  23. They both need to settle into the team and in Mehmeti's case the division, but I think they're looking like good additions to the squad.
  24. You could also argue that Weimann is technically free given we resigned him at the end of his last contract. It's a technicality but I think it's correct. I reckon our starting XI today was assembled for under £10m in fees and probably costs us under £150,000 a week in wages.
  25. Naismith was on Comms on RobinsTV and was living every tackle, pass and run as though he'd played for us his whole career.
