Not totally devoid of optimism but not excited and definitely not particularly intrigued.
I think he did well in that it's been a bit of a whirlwind time of it. I thought the intro to the players in the meeting room was really awkward. Totally agree on the LJ bit. I really couldn't stomach anymore of listening to that.
Of course the proof will be what happens on the grass. He intimated that he won't have time to make too many changes and implement his style in the short lead up to the QPR game. So, I'd imagine we will see a similar shape as we would have under NP.
If you listen to most coaches, they say the same sort of stuff and can't think of anything that he said that made me think he is different in any way. At least he didn't try and bullshit with too much technical jargon. He did say about pressing and going over the top of the press. It stuck in my mind a bit and if and when I get time, I will try and find it and quote what he said.
