  1. I think a lot of the noise and comments from Oxford fans isn't because they love Manning. I think they are more worried about what he gets replaced with. As we have just seen from the list that bookies had for the City job, it wasn't exactly mouth watering was it. This will made worse if Manning brings any of his coaching team with him.
  2. Lots of good points in your post Mr H. I think it's the first sentence that typifies how we as City fans end up feeling though. There has been so much anger with what happened with NP and how it was ultimately dealt with by the hierarchy. I include myself in being angry with this. Then we get noise that there could be getting a real statement of intent type of announcement that we are trying to not be a mid table Championship team moving forward. That we are making an assault on getting promoted. Then we get Liam Manning (TBC) as the apparent answer to this cause. Then we as City fans all go around the houses on here for a few days and come back to 'oh well, we could do a lot worse'.
  3. We are just as likely to get more injuries as we are to get them all back and all back firing on all cylinders. Even if that happens, I can't see relegation happening but I can see us being in a very uncomfortable position. It's just one of those seasons where there are definitely 3 worse teams than us whatever our injury situation looks like.
  4. So it is still irrelevant isn't it? It can't be that hard for you to grasp? As far as my posts over the years are concerned, you can check them out for yourself.
  5. Absolutely! You managed to get the point that I was getting at. It seems some just don't get it. It's been a long day!
  6. Perhaps you should have read what I was replying to. Anyway, thanks for your deep insight with your 3 post so far.
  7. FFS. League 1 has no bloody relevance to the Championship. None. Stevenage has absolutely no relevance to the Championship. None. I don't give a flying f@ck about Oxford or how they play and what their preferred formation is. The reason being, it's League 1 and not relevant!
  8. I'm done as well. 200 mile round trip for me for home games, match tickets x2, train, cider and taxis. I don't get much change out of £250. I'll always support City but it will be from a far for a while. Sick of it all now and need a break from this bullshit merry go round. I'm not going to keep spending my hard earned when we keep going back to square one or maybe even worse. I actually thought we were on an upward trajectory with NP albeit quite slowly. The NP sacking was almost the last straw but I stupidly thought that maybe this time the hierarchy had a cunning plan. As it turned out that plan is Liam Manning. If it wasn't so sh!te it could be funny but it is too sh!te to be funny.
  9. Eddie Howe a bit of an exceptional case isn't it. For every Eddie Howe there a multitude of ones that have no success. We have had a number ourselves. Are we and when I say we, I mean the hierarchy just going to hope that one of these appointments works for once. If so, is that is more hope than expectation.
  10. Yes Oxford. A team that plays the Gas. It's a crap league. If we aspire to be just a middling to small championship side then this is the type of appointment that we should have expected and accept. It's got nothing to do with arrogance. If the hierarchy want City not to be an average team in the Championship then we need to stop acting like we are just an average club. It really is that simple.
  11. Whoop whoop. I'm proper excited now. (unfortunately, sarcasm doesn't work in written form).
  12. I've run out of reactions for today WSM but you are spot on.
  13. A win record not in the Championship or any other comparable league. We all know how savage the Championship is and that win record counts for F All.
  14. You could be right there. However, somebody must have said to him to talk them through what happened at MK Dons when you got 15 points from 20+ games?
  15. They did sack him. Apparently, because he had to sell his best 2 players then loads of posters on here think that is fine and dandy. Also apparently, not his fault that he couldn't Coach the remaining 23 players in to accumulating more tan just 15 points from over 20 games. He must be bloody good at interviews.
  16. Please go back and have a look at his record and then repost. Where have you seen his method and when and over what length of time? Who has he improved and if you are talking about Oxford then short time he's been there doesn't merit much in the way of lavish praise does it?
