6 games unbeaten is great, but it happened at a time where it is meaningless
It's not though, is it? If we'd gone 6 without winning would you have described them as meaningless?

As for HWR thought he had every quality of the ‘modern day keeper’, Nige used to chat about him a lot- injuries held him back a little recently.
I was under the (perhaps mistaken) impression that we had 2 or 3 well though of 'keepers coming through the ranks. I presume that would effect any decision on HWR?

I didn't read it, that's why I asked.
If we have reverted to how we were playing under Pearson, why are people complaining about the dullness of the football? Reading this forum you would imagine that everything was whizzbangs and fireworks under Pearson, and the club is now on a deliberate campaign to find the most boring form of football possible and to inflict it on us for no purpose.
I appreciate it's probably not a popular statement on this forum, but I don't think entertainment value has changed all that much. We were and are inconsistent.
I don't think the styles of play are as distinct as some would make out, either.

Did it involve tents and 10,000 locked out of replays?
No, it was asking for League Cup Preliminary Rounds to be scrapped.

Am I the only one who sees this Szmodic obsession (maybe the wrong word) as a little bit OTT?
The majority of the comments I read on here reads like he left us at the end of last season and he's suddenly tearing it up straight after he's left us. He left over 4 years ago, his record up until this season hasn't been exceptional whatsoever, and there is a strong possibility he wouldn't even be here now regardless. It's revisionism. He wasn't good enough here.

Why has virtually every thread turned into a "wedge issue"? Is this a City fans' forum or Conservative Party Central Office?
It wouldn't be like this if Nigel Pearson ran the forum.

Making the point that if the ref should have played 'to at least 100th min' that would mean they wasted 4 minutes in the 5 minutes ...which they didnt .
But that is irrelevant as the added time displayed is a minimum of x minutes
They wasted plenty of time with players rolling round on the floor and got exactly what they deserved.

Was their undoing today.
Thought Rebecca Welch was superb (watching on RTV), got all the yellow cards spot on. Was the penalty an easy decision?
Bugs me when refs fail to add on any time / enough time when stoppages occur in injury time. They made subs, had injuries, etc. quite right that game went into 100th minute. A ref who applied the new laws that others have forgotten. What was the view of her performance from those of you at AG?
Pretty much this.
I thought Bobby Madley was exceptional on Wednesday, but noticing a referee for a good performance is a rarity.
On a more usual basis, the highest compliment I can pay to a referee is that I don't really notice them. I didn't really notice much of Rebecca Welch's performance today - she was only notable because she is a woman.

Huddersfield fans complaining about the penalty/injury time should direct their complaints to their own team - you wouldn't have been in that position but for all of the timewasting.

Bovril on toast? You mean undiluted? Salt overload.
I once had a Bovril at AG when it was really cold. I think it was a Sheff Wed game a few years back - absolutely disgusting stuff.
Nah, you spread it thin like marmite rather than peanut butter. It's salty, but no overload.

Interesting that Vyner is being picked out for his distribution (83.9% pass success rate according to Footy Stats) when Dickie's pass success rate is only marginally better (84.6%).
Also interesting that the phrase "Hollywood pass" has come up. Personally I'm far more forgiving of a misplaced pass that tries to get us moving forward than losing possession fannying around with the ball under pressure across the back line.
I liked them both FWIW.

a relatively uncontroversial statement of us being in relegation form pre Easter
What's so special about the pre Easter period?
Why not any other block of a similar number of games?

Felt sorry that the ref made them play an extra 6 minutes at the end. Audible, incredulous shouts of '6?!' in the home end at 5-0 up told its own story
Clearly he was enjoying the game

I think it suits him having Pring outside him.
Likewise Tanner and McCrorie on the other side.

They obviously haven’t seen much of us. We’re only capable of soundly beating the best teams. Against everyone else, we struggle.
So their best bet is to show up and be absolute dogshit and they might get a point or three.

I appreciate it's a complete dead rubber and must be difficult to motivate for, but he just doesn't look "up for it" to me.
