Right. Night, all. Horace and I will share a slug (of Bowmore's excellent Small Batch Reserve) and retire to nest and bed respectively.
Not sure we're going to see that March managerial dismissal you feared a while back. But then, with this board .....

I have one, thank you, and it's a happy one tonight. Funny it should happen after my 0-11 post though.
Thought you wuz on for your first "twelve" what with ten men and all that.
-
Seven points from 4th bottom, although Carlisle have a game in hand.
-
thought they came in a mini bus?
They did. It left at half-time
-
Any idea what's going on with the port vale fans and players at the end?
They're all getting a lift home on the team bus

Portsmouth v Rovers could be a massive game.
Ryan Taylor earns his place in BCFC history with the winner!
-
Baldock keeps bottling all these hat-trick opportunities - how many doubles not converted into hat-tricks is it? Shocking
-
So jet is the laziest player and should be dropped
Baldock is an awful striker and will never get 20 goals and steve cotterll is the worst city manger since tony pulis...............
That was 6 weeks ago, Monkeh. Keep up
-
22-21 Baldock
If they finish level on goals, it goes to assists. Then fluffed sitters. Then lost causes chased.
If still level after all this, there will be a long debate on here, followed by a vote. By which point one or both of them will have signed for a Championship club.

Radio Briss commentator just said foul was on Jennison MWs - these bloody double-barrelled footballers all look the same!

Costly miss by Patterson?

"It's only half-time"

And as most of you weren't there today so you don't know what your talking about.
In fairness, some of the comments after home games make you wonder about the value of being there, and seeing the game. But leaving managers and coaches and journalists out of this........
-
Four points pissed out of the window in 2 games against 2 very poor sides.
Sums us up.
Sums us up today, if you want. The final whistle at Posh, summary would differ from that.
Fer me, like, right now (whilst allowing for one or two having a game in hand) 15th with 8 games to go. Sums us up.

Fair comment Norwegian red, but it's entertaining when they loose ! I checked it tonight to see what they though of their superlative draw with soutend and couldn't help reading a thread entitled jealous teds ! wish I hadn't, but at least it reminded me what a bunch of tunts they are !
Don't do it to yourself! Don't put yourself through it. Be kind to yourself.
Distraction, that's what you need-you get the urge, the thought, "let's see what they're saying" you drop to the floor and do ten press ups, or go to the fridge and stuff yer face/ pour a drink, phone a friend, go for a walk, kick the cat. Anything! Just don't go on their forum. Not until they have a crap week at least.
-
was ever thus, it's just the "small man" syndrome ! I wouldn't piss down their throats if their teeth were on fire .
I wouldn't go on their forum. Specially not if it was likely to upset me...

Buckingham group ( the contractors Rovers) are using are on site today...
Digging a hole for Wardie to disappear into?

So Rovers get their ground and city develop theirs , Id say , both clubs will have much comfortable surroundings , better facilities , which will no doubt attract more fans , which in time should bring in more money , which should attract good players , which they should be able to afford . The next 10 years should be much more appetising , better than the crap that we have all had to put up with over the last god knows how many years .
It should do...

I think this thread, "Welcome To Our World, Rovers," leaving aside the JR bit, could run for a few years yet:
Lower leagues with big ground, more support than many/ most, signing players on wages to suit parking bigger, fancier cars in the car park, raised supporter expectations, visiting teams enjoying the facilities, "lesser" teams bafflingly out-performing us again and again, people sat in seats less inclined to sing (choirs don't stand for nothing) and busy-body, fussy stewards, expectations and reality at some point not in alignment, criticism of board of directors, big-match heartbreak, recrimination, squabbling amongst the faithful, looking to rivals failure for some light relief......
We shall see. Either way, we need to up our game and rise to the challenge

I can now forsee Rovers going one of two ways: either they become a bit of a Reading, or a bit of a Darlington.
Or they could just carry on being Rovers in nicer surroundings....
