In fairness nobody in their right mind would have expected us to get anything out of today's game. Well done lads and well done LJ. Credit where credit is due.

Survived the Alamo! I said 2 points from the last 4 games and I was spot on. However, didn't think for one second that one of those points would have come at St James's Park.
Finally the team play with a bit of fighting spirit. Well done to all the traveling fans, considering SL chose to blame us we turned up again and this time the players joined us!

No progress.
Back to div 3 playing rovers and absolutely nothing to show for it.
Unless your aim as a club was to get promoted from div 3 twice?
According to SL we will soon forget all about the relegation when we are back in Division 3 going for the title and smashing Rovers!

2-3, 2-4 or 2-5? Take your pick!

Tinker time now. We must hold on to this lead but I really can't see it happening. If we do then fair play. Championship swan song.

I cannot see anything other that a Newcastle win today. I also think that up against an experienced tactician like Rafa Benitez our complete lack of tactics will be exposed left right and centre. My heart says 1-6, my head says 0-4.

Always the victims that mob. Getting sick of hearing their crap and their constant whining and blamestorming. I get enough of that from my wife without listening to that Tinpot lot whinge and whine!

You know what,I do believe you're right, seem to remember it was in one of the old Bounty Hunter fanzines,I'm going to have to have a rummage around to see if I can find it.
Would be great if you could find it. I know the Kenny Stephens one was in the Bountyhunter but can't remember if the Frankie Prince one was? I even think it was under a "What's the Caption?" section in the programme that I saw it in. I can imagine the responses weren't printable!

Was in the Park End that day, absolute p*** take, and I've seen a picture of GG holding Kenny Stevens (Stephens) by the scruff of the neck but not FP.
There is definitely one with Gerry Gow holding Frankie Prince. I saw it in an old football programme years ago. Frankie Prince was trying to pull away and had his head turned to the side. Gow looked like he was going to batter Prince. I have seen the one with Kenny Stephens and it is not as good as the Frankie Prince one.

Although a draw at Derby is a good result I would have felt much happier had we clawed back to draw rather than see what is becoming the usual capitulation and blind panic that we are used to.
How many times this season has LJ's team thrown away games from winning positions?
I would be interested to know the stats and where we would be in the table had we held on for victory in all of those games?
I'm sorry to say that from a winning position and 3 goals to the good the manager earns his money during the half time team talk and subsequent second half tactics. Where is this talented manager that we are supposed to believe we have in charge?
Happy with the point, but seriously we cannot carry on much longer with this amateur at the helm or we are going down to league one.

A bit harsh considering the manager said after the Rotherham game that "we are on a good run".
Don't forget a return of 4 points from the last 6, including the win against Rotherham, inspite of being outplayed in the first half.
We won't be on a bad run for weeks and weeks yet.
Anyway, we are not relegated yet, so cut Lee some slack for once!
"Jeeez".

I might have to eat my words today. He has finally gone with 2 up front and at the moment it looks like it might pay dividends. Now this WOULD be a win worth celebrating. Not over until Irene sings....

Bit daft referring to page numbers when we're on 366.
(Nuts I've contributed).
367?
Not at all. We don't deny that we like to take the mick out of the gifters. They do. They even hide any threads about "Teds" in the non football section of their forum to pretend they are not utterly obsessed with us.

We will lose 3-1. Matty Taylor will grab the consolation near the end. Another display of rabbits in headlights trying desperately not to lose and playing far too deep. Panicking with numerous errors contributing to Derby's goals.
-
Can they get any more pikey? 47 pages on Matty Taylor's departure on Slagchat now, and I thought they were fine about it because he wasn't even their best striker and they had Billy Bodin? It's all 82 this and 82 that with them at the moment....as if we are bothered by 82? Their retorts are so pathetic it's as laughable as their gifts! They have absolutely nothing to throw at us any more. It's just old regurgitated crap that belongs in another era. Oh, hang on a mo....We are a soulless franchise according to Dwayne Sports Ragass FC......Please don't ever stop giving....The obsessed Ted threads on their forum are springing up like tents at the Mem.

Two ways of looking at that.
Yes Burton and Blackburn both won- but they beat Wolves and QPR respectively. Plus Ipswich drew with Reading, Forest beat Villa and Cardiff lost.
We gained some ground on those above, but those below yes as you were. But 5 points from 13th suggests this could be a long relegation slog involving many sides.
It generally start to even out around February/March. With LJ still at the helm we will be in the bottom 3 and will start falling behind which means even if we pick up a win we will be straight back in the mire the following week when we lose again. If this is progress then they can shove it.
-
Play like that against Newcastle and we will get battered. No ground picked up as others around us won, but didn't drop 2 points that we had to get today, although we did try for a large part of the game to throw it away.
This is a win, but my god our style is bloody awful. How you can play one up top at home is beyond ridiculous.

Going up! LJ is a tactical genius.

Don't worry Major. As Herr Von Lansdown said, we'll soon all forget about relegation when we are challenging at the top on league one next season. Happy clappy clap.
